165
COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 20. 1990
Chief Campbell will address this matter in a letter to the City
of Centerville and also talk to their Administrator personally.
The City Attorney felt that since the City of Centerville will
generate revenue from these pending court matters, they probably
will honor a request for reimbursement.
Council Member Reinert asked about the possibility of a backup
request from the Circle /Lex Police Department in the City of
Centerville. The City Attorney said that if a Circle /Lex Police
Officer feels he needs backup, he should get the backup from his
own department. However., if the situation is life threatening or
there is criminal activity, the Circle /Lex Police Officer could
request backup from Central Communications and the Lino Lakes
Police Department could be asked to respond. The Lino Lakes
Police Officers will have to make judgement calls regarding
whether or not to respond. This information will also be given
to the City of Centerville.
Mayor Bisel asked that Chief Campbell define the role of the Lino
Lakes Police Department as carefully as possible.
PUBLIC HEARING, REZONE OF PROPERTY ON BIRCH STREET FOR CENTENNIAL
SCHOOL DISTRICT NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, ORDINANCE NO. 19 - 90
Centennial School District No. 12 has purchased property from
Harold Lehmann and Hugo and Irene Jorgensen on Birch Street for
the purpose of constructing a new elementary school.
