247 <br />COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 11, 1991 <br />Health Officer <br />Animal Control <br />Legal Newspaper <br />Springsted, Inc. Council Member Neal <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />- Mr. Schumacher explained that this <br />appointment is required by law. There <br />were questions regarding the duties of <br />this position and Mr. Schumacher was <br />requested to invite the Health Officer <br />to appear before the Council to explain <br />the roll of a Health Officer. Council <br />Member Reinert moved to appoint Anoka <br />County Health Department as Health Officer. <br />Council Member Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />- Council Member Kuether moved to appoint the <br />Anoka County Humane Society as Animal <br />Control. Council Member Reinert seconded <br />the motion. There were some questions <br />regarding whether or not cats were included <br />in animal control. Mr. Schumacher will <br />request a report from Chief Campbell. <br />Voting on the motion, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />- Council Member Bohjanen moved to appoint <br />the Quad Press as legal newspaper. Council <br />Member Reinert seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. Mrs. Anderson <br />explained that as requested by Council, she <br />publishes items in the Circulating Pines <br />and /or the Forest Lake Times if it is <br />determined that a certain legal publication <br />would be more available to readers of those <br />papers. <br />Mr. Johnson, publisher of the Quad Press thanked the Council for <br />the appointment and said he was very happy to serve the Lino <br />Lakes community. He also said he was proud of the professional <br />journalism approach of his reports. He noted that there are some <br />issues that the Council may want more coverage on and said he <br />welcomed telephone calls that point out these issues. <br />Legal Depositories - Council Member Reinert moved to approve the <br />list of legal depositories as presented <br />Council Member Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. Mr. Schumacher noted that the <br />City's deposits in these institutions are <br />always covered by FDIC insurance and /or <br />PAGE 11 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
