1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PineRidge Addition improvement.. The bids were checked, corrected <br />and tabulated. Mr. Boxrud noted that all bids were over the <br />engineer's estimate and the entire project was re- evaluated. The <br />result is that the low bid is 4.3% over the engineer's estimate <br />and is within the requirements of the City Charter. Mr. Boxrud <br />has discussed the bids with the developer and he has requested <br />that the bid be awarded by the Council. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to adopt Resolution No. 80 - 91 <br />Awarding Bid for PineRidge Addition in the amount of $461,722.25. <br />Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 80 - 91 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF THE SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE NO. <br />03 - 91 <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that this matter has been reviewed by <br />the Council at several work sessions. The purpose of the <br />ordinance is to allow compensation to defray costs of additional <br />council meetings. The ordinance would not be effective until <br />January 1, 1992. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adopt Ordinance No. 03 - 91. <br />Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 03 - 91 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />CLOSED SESSION, Paul Howard Litigation - Mr. Hawkins explained <br />that this matter must be considered by the full Council. Since <br />Mayor Bisel is absent, this matter can be tabled. Council Member <br />Bohjanen moved to table this matter. Council Member Neal <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />City Picnic Update - Council Member Neal explained that the <br />picnic is planned for September 14, 1991 at Golden Lake Park, <br />shelter No. 1. The cost to the City is $400.00. There will be <br />games and invitations will be sent. Council Member Neal said <br />that he expected the department heads to be chief cooks. <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that this update is to make sure that <br />there are no other conflicts on that date and to detail the <br />costs. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve $400.00 for the employee <br />picnic.
