Several amendments
have been passed and several changes and additions to the zoning
districts have also been passed making the current document
difficult to understand. In addition, the Comprehensive Land Use
Plan has been amended and the changes in the Land Use Plan should
be incorporated into the zoning ordinance.
Mr. Miller noted thatthe draft revised zoning ordinance does not
change any of the zoning districts but does eliminate one (1),
the Suburban Residential District. The Design Review Board (DRB)
along with Mr. Alan Irwin have worked extensively on the revision
looking at every section to determine that all sections agree
with what the City of Lino Lakes want to do. Local people who
are members of the DRB and Mr. Irwin have prepared the draft
before the Council this evening.
Mr. Miller noted some of the changes included in the draft
ordinance and explained that there is nothing in the draft
ordinance that the Council has not seen at prior meetings.
Mr. Miller was asked to prepare a comparison of the current
ordinance to the draft ordinance. Mayor Bisel asked that all
changes be highlighted.
Council Member Reinert moved to continue the public hearing until
December 9, 1991 to allow time for preparation of the comparison.
Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. Mr. Miller was
asked to prepare a handout for the public so that
the public could understand the changes that were being proposed.
Council Member Reinert suggested that the public hearing could be
further continued if there were additional questions from the
public or the Council.
Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously.
CONSIDERATION OF APPOINTING TAUTGES /REDPATH AS CITY AUDITORS FOR
1992
Mr. Schumacher explained that due to the anticipated leave of
absence of the City Accountant, he felt it was best to begin the
annual audit ahead of schedule. The auditors have submitted a
proposed contract schedule for either a one (1) year contract,
two (2) year contract and a three (3) year contract. Mr.
Schumacher recommended that the Council approve a one (1) year
PAGE 7
178
