January 13, 1975 <br />Mr. McLean reported that there had not been a meeting of the Park Board. <br />The two hockey rinks at Sunrise and the pleasure rink there is being <br />flooded as the weather allows. As soon as possible, the rink at the <br />Hall will be flooded. <br />Mr.Bohjanen asked about a rink at Lino Park. Mr. McLean said that at the <br />present time, there is not time to get one flooded in that area. These <br />others will be done first, then Lino Park will be considered. <br />Mr. Zelinka had no report. <br />Mr. Jaworski requested a meeting of the Personnel Commission to be <br />scheduled before the next meeting for the consideration of salary raises <br />for the employees. After some consideration, Wednesday, January 22, 1975 <br />was set for the meeting at 8:00 P.M. The Clerk was asked to notify the <br />members of the Personnel Commission. Also to enclose a schedule of the <br />present salaries. <br />Mr. Myhre reported that he as some information on insurance for full <br />time employees and asked what should be done with it. Mr. Zelinka <br />suggested getting this imformation to Mr. Cartier. <br />Mr. Jaworski asked if any information from Mr. Burman had been obtained. <br />The Clerk said, No. He asked that she keep trying. <br />Mr. Daniel Waldoch had dropped off an application for a permit to use <br />surface water for irrigation on his farm. Mr. Locher had checked this <br />and felt that it should go through the P & Z, then back to the Council. <br />Mr. Marier said it would have to clear the Rice Creek Watershed Board first. <br />The Clerk was told to send_ the Rice Creek Watershed Board for action then <br />to the P & Z and then back to the Council. <br />Mr. Locher reported on a opinion' from the Attorney General's office on <br />the salary ordinace granting the Councilmen a raise. According to <br />that office, since there was not a municipal election this past year, the <br />ordinance will not become effective until after the local election in <br />November of 1975. <br />Since no more discussion is necessary, and the ordinance will automatically <br />take effect after the election, Mr. McLean moved to close the discussion. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Gotwald reported that he will be attending meetings with the PCA <br />and HUD. There are some provisoins for grants and Mr. Gotwald will be <br />checking the criteria for qualifying for these grants. He will report <br />back to the Council. <br />Mr. Jaworski asked if the Clerk had computed the cost figures for hauling <br />sewage. She said she had totaled the costs but Mr. Locher asked if the <br />clerical costs had been added in and they had not been. The Council <br />asked that these figures be put into a formula and be ready for the next <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Jaworski asked if the meeting with the Metropolitan Council had been <br />set. The Clerk had received no notice of a meeting. She was instructed <br />to write Mr. Boland asking that the date be set immediatley. <br />103 <br />
