8 <br />February 24, 1975 <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. Mr. Volk and the Clerk will classify <br />the present employees with a description of duties for review by the Council. <br />The recorr}rendat i on for the C i v i l Defense Director was a raise from $25.00 per <br />month to $33.00 per month. Mr. Zelinka so moved. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Motion failed. <br />Mr. Jaworski recommended $30.00 per month for the Civil Defense Director. After <br />some discussion he so moved. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. <br />The Clerk- Treasurer and Assessor's positions had no recommendation from the <br />Personnel Commission. Mr. Jaworski suggested dealing with the recommendations <br />and returning to these positions later. <br />The janitor's salary recommendation was a raise from $3.15 per hour to $3.40 <br />per hour. Mr. Zelinka so moved. Seconded by Mr. Marier . Motion carried. <br />It was recommended to raise the Deputy Clerk's salary from $3.00 per hour to <br />$3.24 per hour, an 8% increase. Mr. Zelinka so moved. Seconded by Mr. McLean. <br />Motion carried. Mr. Jaworski asked Mrs. Oman how long she had been employed <br />by Lino Lakes and she said five months. Mr. Jaworski understood that her <br />position was to be reviewed at the end of a six month period - would this <br />raise take effect on March 1, 1975 or after the review? <br />Mr. Zelinka said the recommendation did not take this fact into consideration. <br />Mr. McLean said the Council cannot consider merit raises since there is no pre- <br />cedent. <br />The recommended salary increase for mechanics was from $4.99 per hour to <br />$5.38 per hour, an 8% increase. Mr. Marier so moved. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mr. McLean asked if the truck drivers are permanent part time and Mr. Jaworski <br />said, Yes. Mr. Marier moved to drop the title of truck drivers. Seconded by <br />Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. These employees will fall under the permanent <br />part time catagory. <br />The weed inspector's salary would be $3.15 per hour plus $0.12 per mile. Mr. <br />Marier so moved. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. <br />Occassional part time employees will be paid $2.70 per hour. This salary <br />remains the same as in 1974. <br />Mr. Marier moved to increase the Clerk- Treasurer's salary by 8 %. Seconded by <br />Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. This increase is from $682.50 per month to $737.10 <br />per month. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to increase the Assessor's salary by 8 %. Seconded by Mr. <br />Zelinka. Motion carried. This increases this salary from $3.675.00 per year <br />to $3,969.00 per year. <br />There was no recommendation for a change in the Fire Marshall's salary. <br />This remains at $204.00 per year. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
