1
1
AUGUST 11, 1975
Mayor Bohjanen reported that he had and calls concerning the addition to
the house located at 7181 Sunrise Avenue. The Council Members all
have a copy of the letter written by the Building Inspector pointing out
the building code violations. Mr. Marier noted that the owner has been given
plent of time in which to make the necessary corrections in the building
code violations. Mr. Marier noted that the owner has been given plenty of
time in which to make the necessary corrections in the building structure.
Mr. Marier moved that if there is no progress at the end of this period of
time, the building be red tagged and proper action be taken. Seconded
by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. The Clerk was asked to write a letter
of commendation and thanks to Mr. Amundsen.
A call from Mrs. Delang, a resident on Baldwin Lake Road, concerning
the sale of the Jerdee property located at 899 West County Road J and
the Special Use Permit that was granted for the repair of small engines at
that location. She asked if the special use permit would be applicable to
the new owner. Mr. Marier felt that a special use permit is issued to
the individual, not the property. He questioned Mr. Locher on this point.
Mr. Locher said the special use permits are issued to the individual; Mr.
Jaworski said this means that they are non - transferrable.
Mr. Marier moved that special use permits are not transferrable at
any time. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. The Clerk was
instructed to make a note of this on the Ordinance and to include
this information on the special use forms.
Mayor Bohjanen had received an invitation to a breakfast from
the White Bear School District Recreation Program. This is a 7:30 A.M.
meeting and Mayor Bohjanen did not feel that he could make the meeting.
Mr. McLean will check with members of the Park Board for someone who may
be able to attend.
Mr. Marier asked Mr. Jaworski the starting date for the planned road work.
Mr. Marier said the majority of the roads have not looked at. Mr.
Jaworski said Mr. Volk had set a meeting with Mr.Schifsky and the work
should begin soon. Mr. Marier asked that the meeting be set up for this
week and the work begin no later than Monday, August 18, 1975.
Mr. Peter Scherer questioned the specifications that the roads are
repaired by . He felt that putting black top over clay is a waste of
money. The case in point is 64th. Street. There was general discussion
of this street and the problems there.
Mr. Marier explained the road program of surfacing so many miles per
year as the monies become available.
Mr. Scherer questioned the condition of Rolling Hills Drive. Mr. Jaworski
said there is a tandem truck loaded that used that street. He asked the
Clerk if she had written to the owner informing him that this is an illegal
use of that street. She said she had not. Mr. Marier moved that the
minutes be checked and the letter be written. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski.
Motion carried.
Mr. Marier requested that the Tree Inspector fill out the mileage
report form used by the City employees.
Mr. McLean had no report.
189
