She likes to live the way she is, so leave her
alone. Mr. Marier felt that if Mrs. Billik has a problem, she is responsible
enough to bring it to the attention of this Council.
Mr. Marier moved to clean and repair the chimney at a maximum cost of $100.00.
Also, to get a bid on storm windows for the house. Seconded by Mr. McLean.
Motion carried.
It was noted that some shingles are missing on the roof. This is to be
checked.
Mrs. Kincade requested that the driveway be plowed around the barn this winter.
The Council agreed.
Mr. Marier reported on the meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board meeting held
on September 17, 1975. Mr. John Landers had requested a variance to allow
his garage to stand. This building is placed too close to the County right -of-
way along Elm Street. The Planning and Zoning Board had recommended approval
of this variance provided no cars are parked in front of the garage at any
time. Mr. Marier so moved. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried.
Mr. Robinson requested a variance to a side lot setback. The house was built
in 1972 and is located 8" too close to the side lot line. This house is on
Oak Lane. The Planning and Zoning Board had recommended approval of this
variance. Mr. Marier so moved. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried.
Mr. Ernest Apitz had applied for a variance for transfer of property of less
than the required acreage. Since the Planning and Zoning Board did not know
the size nor the planned use for this land, it was referred to the Attorney
for investigation.
Mayor Bohjanen asked the Clerk to read a letter from Senator Milton. He will
check into the legislation needed for the training of a part -time Policeman.
Mayor Bohjanen had also received a letter from the Centerville Fire Department
suggesting a meeting with representatives from Lino Lakes in order to set up
long range plans for that department. After some discussion, Mayor Bohjanen
and Mr. Zelinka will meet with the Centerville representatives on Monday,
September 29th or Tuesday, September 30th. Whichever is more convenient for the
Centerville people. The Clerk is contact Mr. Norm Fritchie for confirmation
of the date and time.
Mayor Bohjanen asked Mr. Locher to report on the results of the meeting with
the Environmental and Transportation Commissions. After much discussion,
these Commissions had recommended to the Metropolitan Council the installation
of the force main swere interceptor for service to Lino Lakes. This matter
will come before the Metropolitan Council on Thursday, September 25, 1975.
Mayor Bohjanen felt that the City should be represented.
