He said
that the law must be uniform because of the more heavily populated areas.
Mr. Zelinka said that if the man who was in last week, whose small daughter
had face bits to the extent that plastic surgery was necessary, was here
this evening, he would have no sympathy for Mrs. Soukop's position.
Mr. Zelinka asked Chief Myhre how this sort of complaint is handled by
the Police Department. Chief Myhre said the Police Department picks the dogs
up and puts them in a cage here for the animal control to pick up.
Mr. Zelinka said that the Council recognized the complaint and will wait
for the results at the court hearing.
Mr. Jaworski requested a monthly report from the Animal Control.
Mr. Locher said he will use the twelve points and write an Ordinance around
them for the next Council Meeting.
Mr. Charles Cape was in the audience and reported that Mr. Rivard had hooked up
the disconnect switch. Mr. Cape asked permission to use the existing extension
cord, put a new end on it and order a new cord. He was asked the cost of a new
cord and thought about $10.00. He said he should have the switch operational
by 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday and would like Mr. Volk and anyone else that is interest-
ed to be here at that time in order to learn the procedure of operation in case
of emergency. Mayor Bohjanen plans to be here.
Under New Business, Mr. Marier thanked all for remembering him while he
was hospitalized. Their concern meant a lot to him.
Mr. Randy Ringaman was concerned about Sunrise Park. He reported that the
trash has not been removed, there is broken beer bottles lying around. If there is a permit issued, charge a clean -up fee.
Mr. McLean said no beer permits have been issued for that Park, this year.
The bottles have been left from the normal use of the Park and is a maintenance
problem.
Mr. Ringaman asked about the trees that had been planted along the edge of the.
Park by the LaFond property. He said these were four or five foot high Norway
Pines, had been planted and never taken care of and are now dead. Mr. McLean
said if there were trees planted there, it had been done by someone other than
the City. Mr. Ringaman was under the impression that the City had planted
these trees but he was informed that his information was incorrect.
He felt that the grass mowing had been good during the summer but nothing had
been done in the last few weeks. Mr. McLean informed him that the Youth
Program had ended when school had started and the mowing had been done by
these people.
Mr. Ringamen questioned the condition of the barn at the Park that is used
for storage. He wondered why part of the floor had been removed. He had
been told that it was to store a large piece of equipment but the only
thing he had seen in there was a small tractor.
