OCTOBER 28, 1975
As yet no decision has been made on where the lines will be put in; there
are two choices open: 1) to hook into the Shoreview line or 2) to hook
into the Circle Pines Interceptor on County Road J.
Mr. Locher said that Mr. Payne advised Lino Lakes that it does not have
to be a lift station such as used in Country Lakes right now. It could
possibly make use of a manhole and the sewage would be pumped directly
from it.
Mr. Jaworski asked if standpipes would be installed?
Mr. Locher said that the situation cannot be resolved until some direction
from the MWCC is sent to our attention and then we can act on the problems.
Mr. Kulazsewicz stated that he had spoken with Mr. Glenn Rehbein last
evening and that Mr. Rehbein felt that December was about the date the
construction of the laterals could be finished. Mr. Kulazsewicz also
said that Mr. Rehbein did not receive notification of this meeting but
he would try to be here, after Mr. Kulazsewicz informed him of the meeting.
Mr. Kulazsewicz did say that Mrs. Sarner had talked to Mr. Rehbein over
the phone about the problems at Shenandoah.
Mayor Bohjanen said that as soon as the letter has been received by the
City from the MWCC confirming dates, type of equipment to be put in and
other information necessary, he would contact all residents and hold a
special meeting to relay this information to interested residents.
Mr. Locher had looked over the sewer license application submitted by
Marty Brothers and found it to be in order. This was approved at a
budget meeting and the Council needed to ratify that action tonight. Mr.
Jaworski moved to ratify approval of the Sewer License Application by
Marty Brothers. Motion seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried.
The attendance at the Assessor's School by Mr. Kelling in St. Cloud
instead of Chaska (Oct. 14, 1975 Meeting, Page 1, Paragraph 6) was
approved on motion by Mr. Jaworski, seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion
carried.
Mayor Bohjanen had received a letter from Colonel Robert Knight informing
the City of changes in the Selective Service Act and asking that the
City donate space and /or a staff to register 18 year old males some time in
1976 and each year after that on a date to be decided.
After a brief discussion and clarification of what the registration would
entail, Mr. Jaworski moved to provide space only at the City Hall for
registration. Motion seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried.
1
