b December 22, 1975 <br />Mayor Bohjanen said the he has contacted the two Fire Departments and will set up <br />a meeting on Wednesday or Thursday after the first of the year. <br />Mayor Bohjanen said the first regular Council meeting of January does not fall until <br />the 12th of the month. There is a mediation meeting scheduled for the 6th and he felt <br />it is necessary that he have a full Council at that time. Mayor Bohjanen asked the <br />Attorney if the new Council members could be sworn in at this meeting. <br />Mr. Locher said they could take the Oath of Office but would not become effective <br />until January 1, 1976. <br />Mr. Jaworski suggested the Oath of Office be administered to the new members at <br />this meeting since they are both present. <br />The Clerk was asked to get the necessary forms for their signatures. Mr. Locher <br />administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Robert 0., Schneider and Mr. Harvey F. Karth. <br />They were congratulated by the Council. <br />There was a voucher for broken eye glasses from Patrolman Armstrong. Mayor Bohjanen <br />asked for an explanation from Chief Myhre. <br />Chief Myhre said these glasses had been roken while Patrolman Armstrong was on duty. <br />He was involved in a brawl in the parking lot at the 49 Club and the glasses had been <br />tampled. Both insurance companies had refused to pay for the glasses since there was <br />no injury involved. <br />After some discussion, Mr.McLean moved to authorize payment for Patrolman Armstrong's <br />eye glasses. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Chief Myhre said before the City can receive reimbursement from the State for Ronald <br />Armstrong attending BCA, he must have a physical examination and a psychological <br />evaluation. Chief Myhre asked permission to arrange for these examinations. <br />Mr. McLean asked the cost and Chief Myhre said he didn't know. The City will not <br />receive the reimbursement for Patrolman Armstrong until he has had these tests. <br />Mr. McLean moved to authorize Chief Myhre to arrange for a physical examination and <br />a psychological evaluation for Patrolman Armstrong. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mr. Locher presented the Council with the new Anoka County maps and said Mr. Anderson, <br />Anoka County Surveyor, would like to be on an agenda to bring the City up to date on <br />the progress made by that office in re- documenting the bench markers in the City, <br />Mr. McLean moved to put Mr. Anderson on the agenda for the first meeting in February. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Under Old Business, Mr.• McLean asked the. Clerk if the cash flow was completed and she <br />said it was not. <br />Mr. McLean asked the minutes showthis report was not completed as requested and the <br />Clerk had said the present members and the new members will have copies by the first <br />of the year. <br />Mr. Schneider asked the source of the percentage figures used in computing the working <br />budget. The Clerk said this figure is a projection ,based on the levy collected in <br />the past. <br />
