1 <br />133 <br />June 26, 1978 <br />the Lino Elemetary School for the naming of the hall park, but no <br />action was taken. <br />Mr. Zelinka reported there will be a tour of the East sideof the <br />City some time the later part of July to look at possible park <br />sites. <br />The Clerk reported that she had received a letter from Mr. Homer <br />Bruggeman stating that Outlots A and B will be deeded to the City <br />to satisfy his Park requirements in West Oaks. Mr. Zelinka moved <br />to accept these outlots and to so notify Mr. Bruggeman and tell him <br />the City would anticipate receipt of the deeds soon. Seconded by <br />Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. <br />Mayor Karth reported that he had received a request from Charles <br />Cape asking that the Civil Defense be allowed to set up their pis- <br />tol target in the garage. Special target practice type projectiles <br />are used. They are made of plastic and only have a primer. Mr. <br />Cape said this had been done in the old City Hall with no problems. <br />The Civil Defense has a special backstop. Mr. Zelinka moved to <br />approve this request. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared <br />passed. <br />Mayor presented a request from Michael Wacholz for $24.12. This <br />i5 for time he appeared in Court. Mr. Locher explained this was <br />for the prosecution of a speeding motorcycle that was traveling too <br />fast to be clocked. Mr. Wacholz acted as a witness to this excessive <br />speed. Mr. McLean moved to approve this reimbursement. Seconded <br />by Mr. Zelinka. Motion declared passed. <br />Mayor Karth gave a brief report on the bus tour of the regional <br />park facilities. He had received a folder of the areas and he asked <br />the Council to look at the folder and then pass it along. <br />Mr. Gotwald reported that the grading had been started in the Sun- <br />set Estates and he will be checking this grading, the catch basins <br />and the weir mentioned in the Rice Creek Watershed Board's report. <br />A copy of this will be sent to Mr. Gotwald. <br />Mr. Gotwald presented the plans and specifications for the restor- <br />ation of the Street - LaMotte Road. He requested permission to a- <br />dvertise for bids. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve this request. Se- <br />conded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Gotwald said he sewer extension is in on East Shadow Lake Drive <br />and the street paving should be done in a couple of weeks. <br />Mr. Gotwald informed the Council of the intent of Random to put in <br />two new streets in the Sunset Oaks plat; 1) Leonard Street, and 2) <br />Marty Street. Mr. Gotwald felt the cross street, Bradley, should <br />also be put in and the North -South street, Jon Street, on the East <br />should be finished. The ponding areas should be constructed at <br />this time. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve Mr. Gotwald's suggestions <br />and to authorize Mr. Gotwald to inform the developers what must be <br />done in that plat. This must also include tLe Park plans.
