1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 13, 1991 <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the recreation agreement.' <br />with Centennial School District No. 12. Council Member Bohjanen <br />seconded the motion. <br />VOTING ON THE MOTION: <br />Bisel <br />Neal El <br />Absent: Kuether <br />Motion carried. <br />Bohjanen <br />Reinert <br />Kuether ❑ <br />CONSIDERATION FOR APPROVAL OF PARK AGREEMENT WITH CENTENNIAL <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 12 <br />Mr. Volk explained that this agreement involves the facilities at <br />the new Birch Street Centennial Elementary School. According to <br />the agreement, the City of Lino Lakes would use the open space as <br />if it were a city park. The plans for the site include <br />facilities that can be used as a community park. The school <br />district will build the facilities and the City will maintain it. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the park agreement with <br />Centennial School District No. 12. Council Member Bohjanen <br />seconded the motion. <br />VOTING ON THE MOTION: <br />Bisel <br />Neal <br />Absent: none <br />Bohjanen <br />Reinert El <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Kuether <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT WITH BRAUER AND <br />ASSOCIATES FOR COMPREHENSIVE PARK PLAN, DON VOLK <br />Mr. Volk gave a brief outline on where this City is in regard to <br />establishing a comprehensive park plan. The Council did <br />authorize the Park Board to solicit a contract for preparation of <br />the comprehensive park. The proposed contract with Brauer and <br />Associates, LTD. will allow the City to cancel the contract at <br />any point it so desires. There was discussion regarding the <br />hourly rates charged in the contract. Mr. Volk was encouraged to <br />use staff time as much as possible. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve a contract with Brauer <br />and Associates, LTD. for a comprehensive park plan with the <br />contingency that Mr. Volk update the Council monthly as to the <br />PAGE 10 <br />147 <br />
