176 <br />COUNCIL MEETING MAY 28, 1991 <br />Chief Campbell explained that this matter has been before the <br />Council several times. The City Clerk and he have met with the <br />City Attorney and have refined the language in the proposed <br />ordinance amendment. An application form has been drafted <br />containing a list of restrictions or provisions for approval of <br />the license. Chief Campbell felt the proposed ordinance and the <br />draft application form will help in insuring that special events <br />organized by liquor license holders will have safe guards and <br />controls. It provides that the Police Department and liquor <br />license holders will work together to manage special events. <br />Council Member Neal asked that the Police Department personally <br />inform the liquor license holders of the new application forms <br />and provisions. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the first reading of <br />Ordinance No. 07 - 91. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. <br />VOTING ON THE MOTION: <br />Bisel © Bohjanen Ed <br />Neal © Reinert <br />Absent: Kuether <br />Motion carried. <br />Kuether ❑ <br />SECOND READING, Ordinance No. 08 - 91 Deleting Bond Requirement <br />for Liquor License Applications, Marilyn Anderson <br />Mrs. Anderson explained that this item was brought before the <br />Council on May 13, 1991 for the first reading. The state <br />legislature has deleted the bond requirement from state statutes <br />and many municipalities are also deleting the requirement. <br />Several of the liquor license holders in Lino Lakes have asked <br />that the bond requirement be deleted. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to approve the second reading of <br />Ordinance No. 08 - 91.
