1
1
1
COUNCIL MEETING
Absent: Kuether
Motion carried.
MAY 28, 1991
Minor Subdivision for William J. Rieger, DRB Application No. 91-
16 - Mr. and Mrs. Kieger own a single family home at 6844 West
Shadow Lake Drive. They wish to divide their lot, sell their
existing home with about 30,000 square feet of land and retain
title to the new lot until sewer and water utilities are
available and then sell the new lot for a single family home. At
its creation, the new lot would be unbuildable. The DRB has
recommended approval of the request contingent upon payment of
the $400.00 park dedication fee, receipt of petitions for street
and utilities for the new parcel and receipt of a restrictive
covenant on the new parcel defining it as unbuildable until sewer
is available.
Mr. Miller explained that he and Mr. Schneider have been meeting
with residents on West Shadow Lake Drive for the past two years
about extension of sewer and rebuilding the street. The
oversized lots on West Shadow Lake Drive would require sizable
assessments and this has been a "stumbling block" for the
extension of sewer and the improvement of the street. Mr.
Schneider and Mr. Miller have suggested splitting the lots in
that area where possible with the idea that this would expedite
the improvement process.
Council Member Reinert asked how many lots would be available for
division and asked why they could not all be done at one time.
Mr. Miller said that he would try to arrange a neighborhood
meeting and follow up on this matter.
Council Member Bohjanen moved to approve DRB application No. 91-
16 to allow the division of the Kieger lot subject to the
contingencies outlined by the DRB. Council Member Neal seconded
the motion.
VOTING ON THE MOTION:
Bisel
Neal
Absent: Kuether
Motion carried.
Bohjanen
Reinert
Kuether ❑
Set Public Hearing for Preliminary Plat of Reshanau Lake Estates
South, 4th and 5th Additions for June 24, 1991, 7:15 P.M. -
Council Member Bohjanen moved to set the public hearing. Council
Member Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
PAGE 3
169
