SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 6, 1992 <br />a resident of Lino Lakes is employed by the <br />Circulating Pines. <br />Mayor Reinert explained that in the past the Quad <br />Press was appointed the legal newspaper. <br />However, news items that affected the southeast <br />area in particular were also printed in the <br />Circulating Pines. News items that particularly <br />affected residents who receive the Forest Lake <br />Times were also printed in that paper. For <br />instance, the notices regarding the special <br />municipal election will be printed in all three <br />(3) papers. <br />Council Member Neal moved to appoint the <br />Circulating Pines as the legal newspaper and the <br />Quad Press the second legal paper reversing the <br />process used in the past. There was no second to <br />this motion and the motion died. <br />Mayor Reinert asked that a list of legal printing <br />costs be prepared for this past year. He also <br />asked that the distribution between the newspapers <br />be determined. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to defer action on <br />this matter until the January 13, 1992 Council <br />meeting and to discuss the matter at the next <br />Council work session. Council Member Kuether <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Legal Depositories - Mr. Schumacher explained that the listed <br />depositories are the ones the City is currently <br />using. Council Member Kuether moved to adopt the <br />list provided. Council Member Elliott seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Rice Creek Watershed District Advisory Committee - Currently <br />there is no resident of Lino Lakes on the <br />committee. Mayor Reinert suggested that this <br />position be advertised. Council Member Kuether <br />moved to place this item on the work session <br />agenda. Council Member Elliott seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Ways and Means Committee - Presently the entire Council comprises <br />this committee which deals with financial and <br />personnel issues. Mayor Reinert recommended <br />continuing with this procedure. Council member <br />Neal moved to appoint the entire Council as the <br />PAGE 4 <br />
