The Clerk was instructed <br />to call and find out about it. <br />Mr. Dupre was asked if he was working on the sign inspecion. He said he had turned <br />in the list and has not received it back from the Clerk's office. The Clerk said she <br />will get an updated list out to him as soon as possible. <br />Mr. Marier reported that the P &Z Board was quite concerned about the crossing of posted <br />fields by Snowmobiles. The suggestion was to contact the SnoGoers and ask their cooperation <br />in informing their members and also to write the Centerville Council requesting that they <br />do the same with Clubs located in Centerville. <br />Mr. Marier moved to have the Clerk contact Mr. Van Housen and ask him to attend the next <br />P &Z Board meeting on December 20, 1972. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. Marier reported that the P &Z Board had rejected the idea of combining the P &Z and the <br />Envioomental Commission. He moved to ikeep the Enviornmental Commission and the P &Z Board <br />separate entities. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Mr. Bohjanen pointed out that Mr. Zelink's idea was to have a liaision member from the <br />P &Z meet with the Enviormental Commission in order for the two bodies to work more closely <br />but not to combine them. Mr. Marier said that was the impression he had gotten. Vote was <br />called for on the motion. Carried. <br />There was discussion on contacting the power company for the installation of lights <br />at the intersections of 20th and Main Street, Birch Street at the intersection of the <br />new part and the old part across from the Klang property and at Main and 4th Avenue. <br />Also to write the St -te Highway and request a light at 4th and Lilac. No decision was made <br />on these suggestions. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported he has more information on the joint police force. Mr. McMurchie has <br />a tape with the complete proposal if any one care to hear it. He feels that we should gather <br />all imformation possible. There was a meeting set up for the 4th of December with the Police <br />Department and any one else who cares to attend to discuss this problem - the cost - where <br />the center of the force should be 'coated - who is the contractor - and many other things <br />that w i l l be decided before this operation can become a reality. <br />Mr. Bohjanen also reported that he had talked to Mr. Johnson at the Treatment Center and Mr. <br />Johnson would like to set up a meeting with our Councilmen to discuss the need for changes <br />at the Center in the way of Police Protection and what the Center can do in order to fit <br />into our community with the least disturbance of the normal routine of the community. <br />There will be an open house on December 6, 1972, from 3:30 P. M. to 5:30 P. M. All council <br />members will be receiving an invitation. <br />Under old business, the position of the Clerk - Treasurer was discussed. The recommendation <br />of the Personnel Commission was to hire Mrs. Sarner, as the Clerk- Treasurer of the Vi Ilage. <br />Mr. Marier asked about the applications that had been received. Mrs. Sarner said she had <br />made copies of all of them and had turned them over to the Personnel Commission. Mr. <br />Marier felt that the Councilmen should also have a copy. The Clerk will make copies for <br />all Councilmen and mail to them so that this matter may be taken up at the next council <br />meeting. They would also like copies of all applications for the full -time utilities <br />man. This she will also send to them. <br />There was discussion on the two pieces of tax forfeit lands in the Lexington Park Lakeview <br />area. Mr. Cardinal moved to allow the lands to go baek. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion <br />carried. Mrs. Sarner wi I l return them to the Auditor's office. <br />
