February 26, 1973 <br /> Mr. Zelii.nka arrived. <br /> The Clerk reported: <br /> 1 . Answer from Barnett Chrysler/Plymouth as to the repairs on the <br /> transmission of the Police Car. <br /> 2. A letter from Federal Revenue Sharing with a card to be signed by <br /> the Mayor. Mr. Zelinka moved to authorize Mr. Bohjanen to sign the <br /> card. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski . Motion carried. <br /> 3. Order from the League of Municipalities for the new directory. The <br /> cost is $4.00. <br /> 4. She had received the July to December checks for Liquor and Cigarette <br /> apportionments in the amounts of $3, 138.20 and $3,876.60. <br /> 5. Had received municipal court fines in the amount of $150.00. <br /> 6. Had received from the State a refund for the Assessor's tuition for <br /> classes attended last summer. <br /> 7. A letter from the Attorney General 's office on the Open Meeting rules <br /> and regulations. <br /> 8. Had received notice of the annual meeting of the Anoka Electrical Coop. <br /> 9. Had a letter from Mr. Lee Starr stating his interest in the position of <br /> Planner for the Vi I lage. <br /> 10. Mr. Backlin had checked and we have 4 "Slow - with picture - Children" <br /> and 3 "Watch out for Children". <br /> The C lerk read a letter from Mr. Dougherty to Mr. Lombardi concerning the sewer <br /> interceptor. Mr. Marier asked if the letter shouldn't have included some figures <br /> indicating what they will assume in cost in connection with the pumping operations <br /> in Chomon i x. Mr. Bohjanen sa i d, No, that th i s was i n response to a letter f rom <br /> Mr. Lombardi questioning the time schedule for the installation of the interceptor. <br /> The Bids on the Patrol Car were discussed. Mr. Locher said that there must be <br /> two bids on leasing and they must be kept on file for I year. Since we have only <br /> one bid, we cannot accept it. <br /> Mr. Cardinal asked about the ViU ng and Boyer leasing operations. The Clerk is to <br /> call them and ask for leasing bids. Someone suggested waiting until these bids are <br /> in before proceeding on the acquisition of Patrol Cars. <br /> Mr. Myhre asked of we could afford to wait that long. Both cars are just about ¢done. <br /> Mr. Myhre said he wouldn't trust either car to last much longer. <br /> Mr. Al Ross asked if we could use the Federal Revenue Sharing funds to purchase <br /> Patrol Cars. <br /> Mr. Locher said, Yes, this is one of the areas of spending al ]owed under the <br /> regulations. Mr. Bohjanen said we have money in the budget for one car. <br /> Mr. Ze I i nka moved to accept the lowest bid from Barnett Chrysler/Plymouth of <br /> $3,679.00. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Myhre reported that the County will take care of the radio equipment. Our own <br /> mechanics can take care of transferi ng the equipment from the old car. Mr. Marier <br /> moved to put the olf Ford up for sale. SEconded by Mr. Cardinal . Motion carried. <br /> The Clerk is to run the ad in the local papers and stipulate "as is". . <br /> The hearing on U. S. Lakes Addition Plat #3 was opended at 8:35 P. M.
