197
Sept. 19, 1973
Mr. Cardinal had a request from the Park Board for a Mr. Stan Peterson
from the Forest Lakes School District to make a presentation to the
Council on the Open School plan. The Council requested that the Clerk
contact him and ask that he appear at the Sept. 24, 1973 Council meeting.
The Park Board had also requested the expenditures for the Park Depart-
ment. The Clerk had provided this, and Mr. Cardinal has a copy.
There was discussion on the old warming house at Lino Park. The decision
of the Council was to salvage reusable materials from the building
and to bury the remainder.
Mr. Jaworski reported that he had talked with Mr. LeVessuer's son on
real ingning the North line of the Park property. Mr. Jaworski had
suggested starting at the post by the driveway of the Sport Shop and
run a straight line at a slight angle all the way to the East boundary
of the Park. This basically would have no effect on the Park.
Mr. Zelinka moved to authorize Mr. Jaworski and Mr. Gotwald to meet
with Mr. LeVessuer and work out a solution to this problem. Seconded
by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. Zelinka moved to ask that Mr. LeVessuer pay the additional
Engineering cost, for the deeds and extra legal cost. Seconded by Mr.
Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. Jaworski reported that the work on the roads is completed. He
moved that Mr. Gotwald, Mr. Back I i n and he inspect the roads prior to
the next Council meeting. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. Al Ross, from the audience, thanked the Council for the work done
on Ware Road. The work was very much appreciated and the job had been
well done.
Mr. Marier was absent.
Mr. Gotwald had checked the request from North Central for an extension
of their gas lines on Pine Street and Maple Street. The extension on
Pine Street was not in the driving area and he could see no problem,
therefore he would recommend approval of this request. The request
for an extension on Maple Street he would recommend approval with the
stipulation that North Central be informed that there is a possibility
of that line having to be located and maybe moved when work begins on
that street.
Mr. Zelinka moved to approve these requests with the stipulations noted
by the Engineer. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried.
Mr. Gotwald had nothing to report on the feasibility report for the
Baldwin Lake Area. They have only done some preliminary work. The
balance will be completed only when the certainity of the installation
of the interceptor is known. He went over some of the main points of
the comprehensive sewer plan. The direction of the flow and the size
of the lines will remain the same - the location of some lines could
