2J8 <br />Oct. 9, 1973 <br />pole barn erected by Mr. Bruder quite a few years ago is sti I I not completed <br />and that the garage on the property has been hit by trucks so many times that <br />it is a hazard. Mr. Locher read from the Ordinance outlining the duties and <br />responsibilities of the building inspector. Mr. Marier moved to have the <br />Building Inspector drive the Village, spot the uncompleted and buildings and <br />notify the Clerk of the names and addresses. The Clerk is to write to the owners <br />informing them they thave 60 days in which to either complete the building, <br />repair, or tear it down. These locations are to be kept on file. Seconded by <br />Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal had no report from the Park Board. <br />Mr. Jaworski reported that he has the complete plans for Lino Park Project <br />and will present to the Council at the next meeting. He reported that he has <br />an opportunity to obtain a Seman mixer. He moved that the Village obtain this mixer <br />and use it to lay a surface on about 4 mile of 77th Street in order to <br />compute the cost of the Vi I lage doing their own road work. Seconded by Mr. <br />Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported that he had had a call about some chuck holes <br />developing on Baldwin Lake Road also on Birch Street across from Miller's <br />and on 24th near 80th Street. <br />Mr. Marier said that the turn on 77th is not completed and the drain on <br />Peltier is not working properly for water run - off. Mr. Jaworski said he <br />would have Mr. Backlin take a look at Baldwin Lake Road, Birch Street is <br />a County Road and the problem on 24th he knew about and plans are being made <br />for the repair. He also said that the depression on Peltier will have to be <br />repaired. H & S will be contacted. There was some discussion of the damage done <br />on 24th and 80th by a private party. The general consensus of the Council was <br />that when this repair work it completed and the bill sent to the party, that it <br />would be paid. <br />Mr. Frazer questioned the conflicting speed signs on Sunset. He was told that <br />this was a County Road and is posted by them. We have no control as to how it <br />is posted. <br />Mr. Marier reported that the Planning and Zoning is planning on completing the <br />work on the land use map at the meeting on the 17th. The brochure is written <br />but there are some changes to be made. The Planner w i 1 1 be presenting this to <br />the Metro Council which is a requirement of the Metro Counci I . Mr. Zelinka <br />moved to authorize the Planner to present the land use map to the Metro Council. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Marier requested that the Engineer attend the Planning and Zoning meeting on <br />the 17th. Mr. Zelinka so moved. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. When <br />the complete package is ready each Council member will receive a copy of the <br />b ro ch u re . <br />Mr. Zelinka reported that the Personnel Commission had met on October 8, 1973 and <br />had recommended to the Council the hiring of Jeffery Kirschbaum and Richard <br />Holman fo fill the vacancies on the Police Department. Mr. Zelinka so moved . <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal Motion carried. He also reported that a new application <br />form has been drafted but since the typing is not completed he would recommend <br />that this matter be tabled until the next meeting. The Personnel Commission <br />had requested that the Clerk make copies of the Applicants for the Road <br />Supervisor's position and mail to the members in order for the search for a <br />second man to begin. <br />
