Seconded by Mr. Cardinal.'Motion carried. <br />217 <br />The Clerk had a request from St. Joseph's Catholic Church for a Bingo permit for <br />Sunday, November 18, 1973. Mr. Cardinal moved to grant the permit. Seconded by <br />Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. Mr. Jaworski asked the clerk to check on the fact <br />that this had already been granted at a previous meeting. <br />The Clerk had received a letter from the Lino Lions Club stating that they had <br />paid $2000.00 to Mary Rehbein for work done on Lino Park. The remainder of this <br />bill will be sent to the Village. <br />There was also a letter from the Anoka County Park Board concerning the purchase <br />of some land owned by the Village to be included in the Open Space Program. <br />Also, a letter from the State Highway Department in response to our Land Use Maps <br />that were presented to the Metro Council. All Council members have copies of <br />this letter. <br />Mr. Bohjanen had the Clerk read a letter of resignation from Mr. Arthur Hawkins <br />of the Enviornmental commission. Mr. Cardinal moved to accept the resignation <br />with regrets. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. The Clerk was asked to <br />write a letter of thanks to Mr. Hawkins. Mr. Bohjanen said that Mrs. Sawyer will <br />also be resigning from that Commission due to health problems. <br />The Clerk read a letter from Chief Myhre recommending the promotion of Sal Costa <br />to Sergeant. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve the promotion. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Motion carried. <br />She also read a letter of resignation from Patrolman Richard Hauer effective <br />November 30, 1973. Mr Cardinal moved to accept the resignation. Seconded by Mr. <br />Zelinka. Motion carried. The Clerk was instructed to write a letter of thanks <br />to both Mr. Hauer and Mr. Johnson who had resigned previously. <br />The specs for the Patrol Car was discussed. Since the purchase of this vehicle <br />is in the 1974 budget, Mr. Cardinal moved to table the publication of the ads <br />for bids until the second meeting in December. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion <br />carried. <br />There was discussion on the fact that the last meeting in December falls on <br />Christmas Eve. Mr. Zelinka moved to hold the second meeting in December on the <br />26th. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen had received a call from Mr. Mel Carter on the amount of damages <br />done in the installation of the Pipe Line. There was discussion on the damage <br />done to East Rondeau Lake Road by the cats used by the company. Mr. Jaworski <br />moved to authorize Mr. Gotwald to inspect the road and the ball diamond, compute <br />damages and to inform Mr. Carter. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen had asked the Councilmen to submit names for the Advisory Board for <br />the Forest Lake Council. He would like to submit the name of Mr. Frank Resch as <br />chairman for this position. Mr. Jaworski so moved. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. <br />Motion carried. Mr. Resch is to pick the four members to serve with him and <br />submit their names for Council approval. <br />Mr. Cardinal reported that Mr. Webster had a problem with a motor home turning <br />around in his yard and the driver and passengers getting into a brawl with Mr. <br />Webster. He thought our Police Department was quite slow in arriving and he <br />would like the Plice to contact him so he can press charges against the driver. <br />
