1
1
April 22, 1974
Mr. Locher will contact Mr. Rehbein.
Mr. Zelinka proceeded with Mr. Bohjanen's report. The clean up this past weekend
had been a success. Over 100 Roy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Lino Lakes 4H Club. A
letter of "Thanks" is to be sent to these groups.
Mr. Jaworski said while still on the subject of clean -up, there are 500 flyers that
were printed up on the clean -up that were supposed to be delivered and they are
still in the Clerk's Office. He felt that in the future before the City goes to
the expense of having these flyers printed, a means of delivery should be lined
Up.
Mr. Zelinka read a letter from Mankato State College asking for a copy of a map
of our City. The County Surveyor is in the process of updating our present map.
The Clerk was asked to write the College informing them of this and saying that
a map will be sent as soon as one is available.
Mr. Locher reported that he had been contacted by Mr. Parta with the suggestion
that as many of the members of this Council and the Anoka Board of Commissioners
get together for pictures of the signing of the Open Space agreement. There was no
decision.
Mr. Marier brought up the subject of building permit fees and the fact that fees
on some of the garages and additions are so low that the building inspector is
osing money by doing the required inspections. This had been discussed at the
last Planning and Zoning Board meeting. Mr. Amundsen felt a minimum fee $10.00
would be fair to all involved. Mr. amundsen had drawn up a schedule which he
presented to the Council. He felt that the fees required by the State Building
Code was too high for this area. This schedule is a compromise between the State
schedule and the present City schedule. Mr. Amundsen said this would bring our
fees more in line with the fees charged by Centerville.
Mr. Marier asked if it would be necessary to pass an Ordinance to update the fee?
Mr. Locher said that it could be done by Resolution.
The Council members looked at the fee schedule and found no objections. Mr. Marier
moved to pass the following Resolution;
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes adopts the following
schedule for the issuance of building permits effective May 1, 1974. These fees
not to include State Surcharges.
$1.00 to $500.00
$501.10 to $2000.00
$2001.00 to $25000.00
$25000.00 to $50000.00
$50000.00 to $100,000.00
$100,000.00 to $500,000.00
$5.00
$5.00 for first $500.00 plus $0.50 for
each additional $100.00 or fraction
thereof, to and including $2000.00.
$12.50 for the first $2000.00 plus $2.00
for each additional $1000.00 or fraction
thereof, to and including $25000.00.
$58.50 for the first $25000.00 plus $1.50
for each additional $1000.00 or fraction
thereof, to and including $50000.00.
$96.00 for the first $50,000.00 plus $1.00
for each additional $1000.00 or fraction
thereof, to and including $100,000.00.
$146.00 for the first $100,000.00 plus
