Mr. Rosengren stated that if <br />we do all this then we can figure out the blecktopping which has top priority. <br />He also mentioned a culvert on Baldwin Lake Road and suggested purchasing an <br />additional six foot length of culvert to prevent the current washing out at the <br />ends. <br />Mr. L'Allier asked W. Gotwald if he had been in contact withAhe St. Paul Water <br />Dept. on hauling rubble on Peltier Drive. Mr. Gotwald stated that he had been <br />and that they will dispose of all their rubble there. Both Mr. L'Allier and Mr. <br />Cardinal suggested contacting the County to have them do, the same. Mr. Gotwald <br />stated that there was no polution problem with busted concrete and hard asphalt. <br />There was more discussion. <br />Mrr. Rosengren asked if the lines had been established on Peltier. Mr. Gotwald <br />stated that the Water Dept. had placed their stakes and we had also. The only <br />problem was to wait for the survey by ]sirs. Wilhelmy. The Clerk will drop her <br />a note to see how the survey is coming. <br />)Mrs. Clifton Brisson of Peltier Drive asked why the grader always digs down at <br />the driveways and pulls the dirt across the road to the lakeshore leaving about <br />an eight inch drop. There was discussion with lMtr. Gotwald stating that the grader <br />man should do some shovel work when he is done. Mr. Baeklin was asked to talk to <br />Ivan about this. <br />Mr. Gotwald presented a letter stating that the final inspection of the building <br />had been made by Art Hagen and himself. He had found that the project has been <br />completed and fulfills the requirements of the plan and contract. Mr. Gotwald <br />recommended that the final payment of $8073.77 be made to Mattson Building and <br />Supply Co. He noted also that they have charged the air conditioning units and <br />they we have a one year guarantee on the building. There was discussion on the <br />blower for removing the smoke with Mr. Gotwald suggesting that Lino Lakes do <br />like most other municipalities and prohibit smoking in the Council chambers. <br />Air. Gotwald thought that the problem with the ice on the east side eave had <br />been taken care of. Mr, Bohjanen moved to pay Mattson the balance owing. <br />Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Carried unanimously. Mr. Gotwald will double cheek <br />on the eave. <br />Ur. Gotwald recommended that locks be placed on the three switchboxes for the <br />air conditioning units and that fencing, including a gate with a lock, be placed <br />around the slab to protect the units from kids, etc. After discussion Mr. <br />Bohjanen moved to have six foot redwood fencing installed to cover the air <br />conditioning units at a cost of about $100.00. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Jeworski moved to authorize Mr. Gotwald to make a preliminary map identifying <br />lowland areas as set forth in the Orono ordinance and to authorize Mr., Gotwald <br />to meet and work with the Park Board and the P&Z. Seconded by Mr, Cardinal. <br />Carried unanimously. W. Gotwald showed a base map with blue areas, noting that <br />the land in conoern would cover the area out as far as 50 to 100 feet from every <br />shoreline., He noted that Anoka County has a floodplain plan from which we <br />could get information. He estimated that if we pass an ordinance similar to <br />Orono's it would cover some 4000 acres.ineluding the lakes. <br />W. Cardinal moved, on Mr. Gotwald's recommendation, to authorize Northwestern <br />Bell Telephone Co. to place buried cable along 4th Avenue north of Lilac Street; <br />also that the letter granting permission include a notice that since there are <br />
