Mr. Jaworski reported that the roads were all clean. He had found another deal
on a warming house for $500. This is a 12'x16' double - walled, 8' high, metal
outside with a 4' double door building. We would have to pick it up. Materials
had cost $800, he had not seen it. There was discussion. Mr. Cardinal stated
that Mr. Johnson on the Park Board was checking around on some buildings also,
and suggested that he be given the address of this building.
Mr. Jaworski showed the members the dedication plaque for the Hall building.
It was decided that this will be placed on the right side of the front doors
(as one comes in). There was discussion on the history of the proposed donation
of the plaque which never materialized.
Mrs. Swanson stated that it had come to her attention that someone didn't get
their road plowed. It was determined that this must have been Maple St., which
Mr. Bohjanen stated didn't get plowed until last night. Mr. Jaworski stated
that he hadn't gotten any calls on it and didn't know why it had been missed.
Mr. Bohjanen stated that he had received a call from the Husniks on 77th St.
He stated that normally the plow goes around their house to turn around, but
this time the plow had gone up to their driveway and backed out. There was
discussion. The Clerk had received several calls on roads on the East side
which the County didn't get at very fast.
Mr. Marier reported that Skelly Oil had requested a variance for a higher sign
at the Jan. 19th Planning & Zoning Board meeting. However, Mr. Hedberg was not
present and the matter was laid over to await more details.
Mr. Marier reported that Mr. David Anderson, Jr., requested a variance to Ord.
No. 21A. This had been approved by the P&Z with the stipulation that the deed
was to br brought up to date stating for what purpose the 60' parcel was to be
used. The deed for the road easement is supposed to go to Glenn Rehbein for
the Shenandoah plat, but if the easement doesn't go through, then the 60' par-
cel will revert`, to Parcel B as indicated on the survey certificate. Mr. Marier
questioned several items on the proposal. Mr. Anderson plans to sell Parcel C
which contains his house, and to retain Parcel B which has 150' frontage; Mr.
Marier wondered why Mr. Anderson wants to take the 60' easement off of the
smaller parcel. He felt that this wason the wrong side of the lot. There was
considerable discussion; it was decided that clarification was needed. Mr.
Marier noted that after looking back in the minutes several instances where
complainces have to be followed, and this gets to be too cumbersome to follow
up. In other words we should have the variance completely specified in written
form so we know exactly what if is for.
Mrs. Anderson stated that Glenn's 30 acres were right behind this piece and that
he needs this easement for access. She was asked to write the intentions on
the application and survey. Mr. Marier felt that we should have a deed to
Glenn for the 60' piece. There was more discussion.
Mr. Marier mentioned that Forrest Tagg had requested that his hearing be set
aside until February; he is getting his paper work done. Mr. Marier reported
that Don Waalen of U.S. Lakes Development Co. presented a revised landscaping
plan for Chomonix South which included extra parking spaces marked in red. The
P&Z had considered it to be adequate. Mrs. Swanson thought mare spaces should
be added. She inquired about park space for this plat. Mr. Jaworski mentioned
the previous letter on file from U.S. Lakes concerning dedication of 10% park
land or the equivalent monetary value for all of their area to be platted.
There was considerable discussion.
Discussion returned to the Anderson variance. Mr. Marier stated that Mr. Locher
had been present at the P&Z meeting and had said that adding the intent for the
use of the separate parcels would be okay. Mr. Marier moved to grant a variance
to Ordinance No. 21A to David W. Anderson, Jr., and Judith G. Anderson as re-
