1/27/72
169
he should receive an average of about $15 per trip. Mr. Marier moved that we
give consideration to raising the amount charged for plumbing inspection and
have this checked out with the Wage and Price Board, and that we pay the Plumb-
ing Inspector $12 per visit. This was discussed. It was generally felt that
the person taking out a building permit on a new building should pay for a
sewage system permit and a plumbing permit for inside work at that time, re-
gardless of who would be doing the work.
It was decided to include in the motion to set the prices for plumbing per-
mits as follows:
Inside Plumbing - first opening - raise from $3.00 to $3.50
- each additional opening - raise from $0.75 to $1.00
Septic system - raise from $10.00 to $12.00
Sanitary sewer hookup - stay at $12.00
Reinspection and red -tag - raise from $7.50 to $8.50
All plumbing permits would have a $1.00 clerical surcharge and 50W State sur-
charge. The Clerk noted that there are boxes on the building permit applica-
tion forms for noting whether the sewage and plumbing permits had been taken.
out. Mr. Marier felt that it should be clarified when application is made for
a building permit as to who will do the plumbing and sewage systems; it should
be noted whether the builder is going with a private concern or jobbing the
work out.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. Mr. Locher will
check with the Wage and Price Board; he asked if the new inspector had the same
fees or higher ones. It was noted that the prices had been set by the Council.
If a favorable answer is received, the new fees will then go into effect.
Mr. Marier noted that the P&Z Board requested a check list on sign permits
issued on or after May 22, 1971; this would be for the freeway signs only. A
copy will be sent to Mr. Marier. Following this, Mr. Marier stated, we will
let the land owners know what the new State law is so that they can get in com-
pliance by rezoning to commercial. This could cost anywhere from $200 to $1500
for the property owner.
Mr. Marier had asked the Planner to submit his tentative comprehensive plan,
which was hanging on the wall. He felt that the Council should set a special
meeting at which board members would be invited to discuss the comprehensive
zoning plans for the Village as well as park reserve plans which will be needed
for this fall's Legislative session. Mr. Marier pointed out some areas on the
map, particularly the green areas, which does not mean set aside for park area
necessarily. He felt the Village should decide if this plan is what we want,
and if so, to take action on adopting it; also, we should do something about
the preservation of wild life. Mr. Jaworski noted that the green area was pri-
marily the area which it was not feasible to serve with sanitary sewer. Cost
of the Planner's work on this was mentioned; about $1000 more will be needed to
complete the study - -some $2000 has been spent so far. Following further dis-
cussion, it was decided to set a special public meeting on February 7th at 8 p.
m. to discuss the proposed comprehensive zoning plan. Notes will be taken.
Mr. Cardinal moved to accept the revised landscaping plan with the additional
parking spaces for Chomonix South. Seconded by Mr. : Jaworski. Motion carried
with Mrs. Swanson voting No.
Mrs. Swanson reported that she had visited the Village offices and had several
items to put before the Personnel Commission. She recommended that the Village
use requisition forms for all purchases; this is not presently done. Such re-
quisition forms would be authorized by the head of the particular department,
and a purchase order would then be made out by the Clerk. Mr. Jaworski stated
