3/27/72
shall be on an annual basis and shall be based upon local enforcement. Falure
to enforce may result in revocation of certification.
Mr. Locher noted that our ordinance is more stringent than theirs. He had dis-
cussed this with Fd Wasik of the Highway office who felt that our ordinance
was a good one; in fact, other village had plagerized it and picked out parts
for their own ordinances.
Mr. Bohjanen asked if he did this in conjunction with his report to the P &7.
Mr. Locher said Yes. Mr. Bohjanen asked if he had been authorized through the
P &7; Mr. Locher said Yes. Mr. Bohjanen asked Mr. Marier if he would report to
the PO.
Mrs. Swanson asked if any part can be photocopied. Mr. Bohjanen said he felt
that at least one Councilman should be present to ask the Attorney to do some-
thing like this. Mr. Locher said, Right, but there was a previous resolution.
Mr. Bohjanen asked Mr. Locher if he would take this to the P &7.. Mr. Locher
said he would leave it with the Clerk to make copies for the P &7.
Mr. Marier moved to authorize the Planning and Toning Board to request certifi-
cation of our sign code, Ordinance No. 51. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried.
Mr. Bohjanen had a question for Mr. Locher, stating that he had indicated that
if sewer is held back Jandric might have a case against us. Mr. Locher stated
that there might be danger of a lawsuit if we were responsible, but we are not
responsible, and the Metro Sewer Board is responsible for the delay and the
extra cost so far.
Mr. Bohjanen asked the Clerk to read a letter from the Fire Marshal. The
letter noted that activity during the first quarter of the year was slow. He
had spent about ten man hours on getting all the information together including
cleaning the car. He had used the car oneday and had trouble with it so he
had used his own car for about 30 miles of patrolling the Village. The bill
he had turned in with the letter as for X3.00 worth of gas he purchased for
the Village car as he did not know how to work the gas pumps at the Villa ;e
Hull. Mr. Livingston noted that the activity will undoubtedly increase and he
should have a uniform. If the Council would authorize a uniform allowance,
he will purchase one.
Mr. Bohjanen asked the Clerk if a clothin: allowance was budgeted for the Fire
Marshall; she said Yes, $60 per year. Mr. Marier moved that Mr. Livingston
purchase a uniform and submit a bill to the Council. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal.
Mr. Jaworski asked if we should set a dollar limit. Mrs. Swanson noted that
we have requisition slips. The vote was unanimously in favor. Mrs. Swanson
stated that all purchases must have requisition slips, purchase orders and
approval by the Council.
Mr. Bohjanen noted that MT. Dupre, Building Inspector, had brought in new books
tonight. He suggested that the PO look them over. Mr. Dupre had not gotten
the book yet on dwellings, so we should use the other one for the meeting. He
noted that this could well change a lot of things after July 1st.
Mr. Bohjanen said that the CD Director will have a report at the next meeting.
The CD and the Fire Marshal will distribute the Information Guides and the
sheet on the Town Hall Meeting by Saturday night.
Mr. Bohjanen said he had met with the Police Department. He had requested that
they sit down again and work on a work roster. He also requested that they
report any accident on our cars to him and the council, or at least leave a
note for him, and they should tell the Fire Marshal if they are going to use
his car.
1
1
1
