3/27/72 <br />Mr. Tagg asked if they will be billed for this. Mr. Bohjanen said Yes. <br />Mr. Locher stated this will require publication of an ordinance and he must get <br />a building permit. Mr. Tagg asked if he could have something to bring back to <br />the church. Mr. Locher asked if he dind't have a recorded document. Tagg <br />said he didn't need it, but the access was contingent on the Council granting <br />the rezoning. The Clerk will send a letter that this is approved to the <br />church and to Mr. Tagg. <br />Mrs. Swanson asked about the signs pertaining to the front of Mr. Tagg's motel <br />and was told this will come up later. Mr. Locher stated that also notification <br />must be sent to the State Commissioner on the rezoning under M.S. 173.16, Sub. 5, <br />Clause 2. This has to be registered with the State Commissioner of Highways. <br />Mr. Tagg asked if he had to file for a permit from the Village for the sign and <br />was told Yes. <br />The vote on the motion to adjourn was unanimously in favor. <br />Mr. Bohjanen called the hearing for Ken Rehbin's office building plans to <br />order at 9 o'clock p.m. Mr. Locher noted that the property was already zoned <br />so he only needs to comply with plans. He had received a call from Mr. Hutch- <br />inson on the building, stating that the sewer system is ok if the perc rate is <br />true. Mr. Marier said that the P&Z passed on this. There had been 5 stipula- <br />tions from Mr. Hutchinson as noted in the P&Z minutes. <br />Mr. Marier moved to accept the plans for Ken Rehbein. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Vote: Aye -- Cardinal, Jaworski, Marier, Swanson, Bohjanen; No- -None. <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to adjourn the hearing at 9:08 p.m. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Mr. Marier noted that they have to have the screening solved within one year, <br />and that they do this on the advice of the property owners close by. Mrs. <br />Swanson noted that they have two driveways and wondered if they had a drainage <br />problem if they would fix it. Ken Rehbein stated that they aren't changing <br />that muchand if it became a problem, it would be a county problem. 'There <br />was some, discussion. <br />Ken Rehbein stated that 2 people they talked to don't know what they want for <br />screening. He also stated that they need a variance on the little piece of <br />land. Mr. Marier thought that <.t the time when they okayed the plans Ken was <br />going to have the building on the whole piece. Ken said No. Mr. Locher asked <br />if they had the legal description; Ken said they did at the office. <br />Mr. Marier stated that we can approve the plans, but he will have to go to the <br />P&Z again. For now, we can only approve the plans for the whole piece. Mr. <br />Marier said to get the permit now for the building and split it later. <br />The vote to adjourn the hearing was unanimously in favor. <br />The Clerk reported that we had received $12,115.77 in State Aid funds on March <br />15th. Data had been received from the Metro Council on the 1970 census; she► <br />had not made copies as it is quite lengthy; it is on file. <br />The Clerk reported receiving a letter from George Gotwald advising that the <br />estimated cost of the water and sewer systems in Shenandoah is $232,560.00. <br />She had sent Glenn Rehbein a letter stating that 10% of this amount was to be <br />deposited before Mr. Gotwald could commence work on the plans. Mr. Rehbein <br />had deposited the sum of $23,256.00 today. Mr. Gotwald stated he would need <br />written authorization to proceed with the plans. <br />
