Updating Village disaster plan to comply with State and Federal require - <br />ments for cintinual certification of Civil Defense Director. <br />7. Updated forms for 5th Corps area to comply as a certified Civil Defense <br />Director. <br />8. Bought out of funds raised by Civil Defense and Auxiliary a 16 MM sound <br />projector, cost $250.00. <br />9. Delivered Village phone directories to all the people, also the town hall <br />meeting notices and Civil. Defense books that contain information for use <br />by the people in times of emergency in cooperation with the Fire <br />Chief, Jim Livingston. <br />Mr. Marier asked Mr. Cape for a cost estimate on the CD's spending so far this <br />year. Mr. Cape thought about $150 or less, not including uniforms, which <br />was mostly on putting the equipment together. <br />Mr. Bohjanen mentioned that this is the Only CD organization in the County that <br />has an Auxiliary unit, that it is recognized as being able to function of nec- <br />essary, and that they need such activities to keep them together. Mr. Cape <br />noted that ti was the women's group that held them together and pulled them <br />through at times, they had their upsand downs, but have done a great deal of <br />work. Mr. Cape said he didn't know how some members, both husbandsand wives <br />can put in so much time on CD activities. <br />Mr. Cardinal asked Mr. Cape if he had delivered the Information Guides to all <br />in the Village; Mr. Cape said they had completed their delivery but hadn't got- <br />ten to everyone, noting that it was a bad time to do this over Easter weekend. <br />The papers had been put under the mailbox flags; some may have blown away. Mr. <br />Cardinal asked of he had any trouble getting through the roads - Mr. Cape had <br />not. The Clerk asked that the extra Guides be returned to the office. <br />Mr. Dan Helmer of the Northwest Saddle Club came forward to report on the club's <br />meeting and resultant letter. He had talked with Ken Rehbein and Oscar Ramberg <br />and been advised to ask the P &Z about the possibility of any future roads coming <br />through their property which might affect the location of the house. <br />Mr. Helmer asked the Council to recognize that the trailer is there to protect <br />the $70,000 investment in the property, and that there has been no vandalism <br />or littering since it was put there. Mr. Helmer said they intend to comply <br />with our regulations, but do not intend to abandon the protection if they can't <br />comply quickly enough; the property was not protected`before the trailer came. <br />Heasked when they could meet with the P &Z and was advised that their agenda <br />is full for the April meeting. <br />Mr. Marier discussed the road possibility with Mr Heimer and asked him if he <br />felt they won't move the trailer. Mr. Helmer said No, but that if we told him <br />to move it tonight he would go back and tell the Board that; but he is only 1 <br />of 7 members, and they would probably say they would' move the trailer as soon <br />as they can. Mr. Helmer asked what the fine was for not moving it as this <br />might determine how soon they would move it. <br />There was discussion with Mrs. Swanson asking how long the trailer had been <br />there; Mr. Helmer said since last July 1st. Mr. Marier asked if it was their <br />intent to build the house in July. Mr. Heimer said they planned to have it <br />completed by July, that it would from 30 to 60 days to build it, so they <br />had a little time to plan.
