''2 <br />4/10/72 <br />Roberts' operation in 60 or 90 days. <br />7. Asked what law Mr. Roberts had broken. <br />Mr. Bohjanen asked Mr. Roberts if he had dropped 50 hogs since March 3rd; Mr. <br />Roberts said Yes, that these were butcher hogs which he had sold. He had the <br />sales slip in his pocket. <br />John McLean informed Mrs. Swanson that before Ord. 56 was adopted, all land in <br />Lino Lakes was either zoned as residential- agricultural or rezoned to commercial. <br />Mr. Locher read Sect. 4 of Ord. #6 regarding hog farms in residential areas. He <br />noted that the previous owner did not occupy the farm as a hog farm. He had checked <br />the records and found that Roberts had purchased the farm under the old ordinance <br />prior to the adoption or Ord. #56, as the deeds were finalized on May 21,1971. <br />Mr. Locher stated that feeding of garbage to the hogs is out. <br />Mr. Marier asked Mr. Roberts the following questions: <br />I. You do not and will not feed garbage on this place in the future? <br />2. Will you conduct a farm operation according to the one of the previous <br />owner? <br />3. Do you have adequate facilities to keep the hogs in? <br />Mr. Roberts answered Yes to.all three questions. He also stated that he only <br />has 3 sows left. <br />Council was satisfied that Mr. Roberts should understand that we wish him to keep <br />to general farming, that he neither cook nor feed any garbage to his hogs. Mr. <br />Marier wished the matter to be put on the agenda for review in 60 days and that the <br />County Health Dept. investigate the operation in the interim period. <br />The Clerk reported receipt of the following items: <br />1. Approval of the Minnesota Dept. of Health on the water main system for <br />the Shenandoah project. <br />2. The new Workman's Compensation Insurance policy. <br />3. The paid -up loan papers on the 1971 Chevrolet dump truck. <br />4. A quarterly report from North Central Public Service. <br />5. Brochures from the PERA Committee for Change. <br />6. Completed collateral papers from Centennial State Bank of Lexington. <br />7. Soil boring test results for Ken Rehbein's office building site. <br />8. A revised form from the State Insurance Division on our police department. <br />Mr. Bohjanen felt this should be filled out so we can qualify for <br />State aid. Mr. Marier asked how long this matter layed dormant; <br />Mr. Locher said that it had come out of 1971 Legislation. <br />9. A housing bulletin from Metro Council. <br />10. Requests for buried lines from Northwestern Bell and North Central <br />Public Services; these were given to Mr. Gotwald to check over. <br />II. A quotation of $245 on a Busicom Jr. 12 column electronic calculator <br />from Clary Business Machines. <br />12. A bid from Jim Livingston on building a tool crib. Also, a price which <br />Mr. Backlin compiled on a wire crib as well as for shelving. <br />There was discussion on the material to go into the crib. Mr. Marier moved to <br />award the contract for building the tool crib to Mr. Jim Livingston at a cost <br />of $330 per the specs shown, and that a requisition and purchase order be made <br />out before the work starts. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Livingston said he could start work this week. <br />The Clerk had two corrections to the March financial reports: I. The quarterly <br />payroll report showed an amount of $20 paid to John Juleen paid out of Parks Fund - <br />
