Mr. Marier felt the matter should be
acted upon tonight as there had been two hearings on this already with no
input.
Vote on the motion: Aye- Marier and Swanson; No- Jaworski, Cardinal and
Bohjanen. Motion failed.
Mr. Marier wished to have a vote on the original motion which wasn't voted on,
and moved to adopt the original Ordinance No. 56A. Seconded by Mrs. Swanson.
Vote: Aye- Swanson; No- Cardinal;, Jaworski, Marier and Bohjanen. Failed.
Mr. Jaworski moved to send the ordinance back to the P &Z for study with the
developers and the tax assessor. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. The
meeting was set for May 24th at 8 P.M. Mr. Marier asked Mr. Bohjanen to
attend this meeting to get the right input on this.
Mr. Jaworski moved to close the hearing at 9:34 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal.
Carried.
Mr. Jaworski asked Mr. Locher fi he had heard from Mrs. Wilhelmy's attorney;
Mr. Locher said they had talked back and forth. Mr. Gotwald said that she had
had her surveyor survey the property, and that those stakes were 5 -6' further
in (towards her house) than Gotwald's stakes were, which were based on the St.
Paul Waterworks boundaries. Mr. Jaworski asked if it was okay to start working
on Peltier or do we have to wait for work from her attorney. Mr. Locher said
that we must wait in case of adverse posession; he asked Mr. Gotwald if it were
okay if we went by her stakes. Mr. Gotwald said Yes, noting that we could take
more trees (by using her stakes), but that we don't need to remove the few
large trees, and there would be no sense in doing so.
Mr. Jaworski moved to have Mr. Locher contact Mrs. Wilhelmy's attorney and get
a letter stating what stakes we are to go by on Peltier Drive, with a copy to
be sent to Mr. Gotwald and copies to made for the Council. Seconded by Mr.
Cardinal. Carried.
Mr. Gotwald was asked to explain his cost estimates on seal- coating village
roads for 1972. He read through the list as follows:
1. All roads in the Lakeview Area - 15,840 ft.
Bituminous Material $3,000.00
Seal Aggregate 4,600.00
Total $7,600.00
