Mr. Gotwald noted that the Council had decided to gravel Pine Street
instead of doing any of the 3 alternatives he had listed. Mr'. Gotwald suggested
that informal bids be obtained on separate portions of the work so that no item
would cost more than $5000 in order to eliminate advertising.
There was discussion on whether the budget would cover thw work, with Mr.
Jaworski stating that he could meet the budget with this program and still have
money left for emergencies and a surplus at the end of the year.
There was discussion on Holly Drive with Mr. Marier noting that we have been
talking about it long enough and something should be done, and that according
to Centerville's old records they had maintained it, and that the owners along
that particular portion say that it was improved at one time.
Mr. Jaworski thought the Engineer should make a cost estimate on putting in
4 culverts and making a 24' roadbed.
After more discussion, Mr. Marier moved to make the portion of Holly Drive by
Grygelko's passable and to have the Engineer check on the cost of culverts and
gravel. Seconded by Mrs. Swanson. Carried. It was decided to get easements
on this and see that they are filed.
After discussion, Mr. Jaworski moved to get bids on the road work on Mr. Gotwald's
list, and to check the culverts in the roads first. Seconded by Mr. Marier.
Carried.
Mrs. Swanson asked if anything was done on the easements on Sunrise Avenue from
St. Joe's. Mr. Jaworski said there has been a turmoil down at the Church so
nothing had been done on this yet, but it would get done.
1
1
