2
6/12/72
Glenn Rehbein said that the Village is caught between the Metro plan and our
uncompleted comprehensive plan. Mr. Gotwald said the northwestern section of the
comprehensive plan is complete. Metro wants a Village plan so they can see our land
use plan and that we aren't designing with our particular subdivision in mind. Other-
wise it isn't absolutely necessary. Mr. Jaworski noted that if we don't submit a
Comprehensive Sewer Plan for the rest of the Village, how can they (Metro Sewer
Board) do a feasibility study.
Mr. Marier moved to table thtis until the first meeting in July inasmuch as we need
the zoning map. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Carried.
Clyde Rehbein noted that his request for a variance for overhead wiring has changed
since the agenda was made out. They still would like to have underground wiring put
in, and he is asking the Village to get in touch with NSP and request that they put
underground in as stated in our ordinance. He said NSP's stand is they don't want
to, but they haven't said they wouldn't. He said they are going to put in septic
systems and water pumps. Mr. Marier moved to send a letter to NSP requesting that they
follow our Village Ordinance No. 49 and put in underground wiring in the Shenandoah
Addition. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried.
Clyde Rehbein noted further that they are going to have trouble with natural gas
too, and they would like Village support in seeing that they get natural gas rather
than LP. The company has the perogative of serving either. Clyde said the company
didn't want to guarantee service of natural because they are creating a shortage.
Mr. Bohjanen moved to send a letter to North Central Public Service, asking what
their intent is as to the Shenandoah Plat and their intent to serving the rest of the
Village regarding natural gas. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried.
Mr. Bohjanen noted that Mr. Hppkins still wasn't present, but that he had called
requesting to use the Council Room for conducting gospel services two nights a week
on any nonconflicting nights. The fact was discussed that the Chambers are used
about three nights a week as it is now, and then any special meetings would put the
Council out. Mr. Marier moved to send a letter telling Mr. Hopkins the request was
denied. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried.
Mr. Cardinal said he had a request from Steve Krube to use the Lino Lakes diamond
at 6:30 P.M. on the evenings of June 12th and 19th, and July 3rd. He could see no
problem there.
Mr. Cardinal said that the boys in the area put up a back stop at Sunrise. No bids
have been received as yet on Sunrise. Roy Backlin has a requisition in for crushed
limestone which makes a good infield that the players really like.
Snowfence was put up at the Lino Lakes Elementary diamond. The coach said the boys
were able to hit balls quite far and this fence would keep them from running onto
the street.
• Mr. Cardinal said the Watershed group took a partial trip in canoes from Centerville.
They saw much wild life and had quite a time. They will finish the trip if the water
level stays high enough. They are working on rules and regulations and the Advisory
Board is working on the overal plan. Counties were sent a resolution for regulating
organization expenses.
Mr. Marier said that Forest Lake District 831 had a meeting, at which there wasn't
a quorum present, but that Lino had no representative present either. $5,000 is
available for recreational pruposes and he felt we should get our share. Mr. Bohjanen
said he would call Tuesday and see when the next meeting is scheduled.
9
