6/26/72 <br />Motion seconded by Mr.Mari er. Motion was amended to read that the wage increases <br />would be effective July 1st, and that they would be retroactive to that date when we <br />get the answer back from the Wage and Price Board. Motion Carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski felt we should consider hiring a full time man as -,we will have a water <br />system to take of and sewer system as well; there will be meters to install. also. <br />Mr. Jaworski said that he had talked with Mr. Gotwald today, and that they had <br />visited Chomonix. Mr. Gotwald had recommended that the pumphouse and meters be checked <br />once a day, so that if something goes wrong we can know very soon. Mr. Jaworski said <br />he doesn't feel that we can do an adequate job of this on part time men, that we should <br />have someone trained wo can do this. Mr. Marier asked if we have anyone qualified; <br />Mr. Jaworski thought so. Mr. Marier asked if they need a license. Mr. Jaworski said <br />that the State trains them and tests them as to fluoriation and chlorination; <br />however we only have fluoridation. <br />Mr. Marier asked if this man is to be versatile or just on utilities; Mr. Jaworski <br />said he would be versatile, and that it would have to be the Supervisor. There was <br />discussion on whether the position would be salaried or not, and what the duties <br />of such a man would be, what part of each day would be spent on each department, <br />priorities, etc., in other words a job description was needed. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to send this to the Personnel Commission for study and have them <br />give a recommendation at the next Council Meeting (July IOth). Seconded by Mr. <br />Jaworski. Carried. It was felt that Mr. Backlin ought to attend this Personnel <br />Commission meeting. <br />Mr. Marier reported on the June 21st P &Z meeting. Bill Leonard had requested the <br />Village extend 64th st. It was felt he wanted to develop this and for his own <br />benefit. He was told that the neighbors would have to share in the cost of building <br />this road; one neighbor didn't want it. The P &Z denied this request. <br />Mr. Marier noted that the Chomonix South plat request was delayed. <br />Mr. Marier stated that Mrs. Youngbauer's request for a variance was not heard <br />beacuse no one was present, and that they will have to make a re= application. <br />Mr. Marier stated that Ken Rehbein's request for a 50'x 112' pole bare on commercial <br />property was heard. This would be attached to the main building for a horse shelter. <br />The P &Z had suggested granting him a variance. Mr. Marier moved to grant a variance <br />for a pole barn to Ken Rehbein on the following described property: W 3/4 of NW4 of <br />NW; of Section 5, T.31, R. 22, Anoka County, Minnesota. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Carried. <br />Mr. Youngbauer, in the audience, stated that they were never informed that they must <br />be at the P &Z hearing or when it was. Members checked the minutes of the May 22nd <br />meeting and read the part stating that the hearing was set before the P &Z on June <br />21st. Mrs. Youngbauer said that she was never told she had to appear. Mr. Youngbauer <br />asked when they could be put on the agenda again. Council set the hearing at 9 P.M. <br />before the P &Z on July 19th and the same time at the following Council meeting <br />on July 24th. Mr. Bohjanen noted that it was general procedure that applicants for <br />a variance attend the P &Z meeting. <br />Mr. Marier noted that the Morehouses had not appeared before the P &Z on their request <br />to extend 79th St. , and moved that we delay the Morehouse matter until they re -apply <br />on the P &Z agenda. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />Mr. Marier stated that Gilbert Menveld did not show up at the P &Z meeting either,•and <br />moved that we send a letter to him and tell him to make another application to be ona <br />new schedule. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />
