6/26/72
293
Mr. Marier asked Mr. Locher if the agreements submitted by Brede, Inc. were in order,
regarding easements to come in from the East to service their sign (no. 20). Mr. Locher
said that the agreements were not for easements, but for access to the corner of Lot
19, Block 3, Lakeview Woodlands, so that they could enter for servicing the sign. Mr. Marier
moved that we issue Sign Permit (renewal) Sign #20 to Brede Inc., and that these agree-
ments be attached to the permit. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried.
Mr. Marier noted thatthe State Building code goes into effect July 1st, and read
from a newspaper article, mentioning that the State Code does not deal with local
zoning laws, that we can regulate the size of structures, setbacks and lot size.
Clerk read a note from the Building Inspector which stated that he had inspected
Jerry Rosengren's house and found the work to be done.
Dan Heimer, from the Northwest Saddle Club, came forward to present a petition signed
by 24 neighbors who had no objection to the .Trailer on the Club property which was
used by caretakers. Mr. Heimer said that the Club was willing to comply with the request
to remove the trailer by July lst, but that they did not wish to do so. The Directors
had not yet decided what to do in regards to building a permanent structure, etc.,
but Mr. Heimer thought they would have something completed within a year. They would
like to leave the area in the rough. Mr. Heimer reiterated many reasons why they
didn't want to move the trailer. Dan Ramber, President of the Club, and Ken Rehbein,
also offered many comments.
Council members, in particular Mr. Marier, felt that we had an agreement to remove
the trailer and present plans for something permanent, and that we should abide by the
ordinances.
After lengthly discussion, Mr. Marier moved to grant the Northwest Saddle Club 30 more
days to submit a print (for a building), before the Council, that in that time a
percolation test must be taken and a building permit application made, and that building
must be started within the first 30 days after the permit is granted, and construction
finished within 60 days after that; if this is not done the trailer must go. Seconded
by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. Mr. Heimer and Mr. Ramburg were willing to go along with
this.
The Clerk read the police reports for May.
Applications for beer and-dance licenses were passed aground for inspection.
Mr. Jaworski asked if the Council would agree to having Mr. Hagen tear down the Old
Ford truck to see if the problem is that the rings didn't seat when they were put in.
Mr. Hagen had agreed that if the problem were something other than the rings he would
do the labor for nothing, but if it was the rings, then he should be reimbursed for
his time, as it was not his fault that the rings didn't seat as the rings used were
not the ones which he had recommended. Mr. Marier advised that he should put in a
requisition to do the work.
Mr. Zelinka moved to approve the applications for 3.2 beer licenses for the following:
Off -sale only - Monica Cichy, Annie Ross, Henry J. Speiser, Nathe Brothers, Inc.,; on
and Off sale - John Quinlan and Luther LeVesseur. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski.
