1
1
1
October 25, 1976
Mr. McLean asked if Debt #2 had been considered in this budget and Mr. Schneider said,
No. Mr. Locher read a letter he had written to Mr. Kronholm on the CD on deposit
with the Drovers State Bank for the purpose of paying the principal on that bond
issue in the event of default by the owner. Mr. Locher reported he had been told
by Mr. Kronholm there should be no problems in connection with the use of that CD.
Mr. Locher recommended that this should be checked around November 1, just in case
legal action is necessary to secure usage of the CD.
Mr. Zelinka moved to instruct the Attorney to determine the status of this CD sev-
eral days before the first meeting in November. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carr-
ied unanimously.
Mr. Schneider moved to certify to the Anoka County Auditor the sum of $177,000.00
to be levied for the year 1977. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Schneider reported he and Chief Myhre had met with Mr. Zantek at the MMTC in
conjunction with the escapees. These are most!yparole violations. Also transport-
ing of the residents of the center will be done by the center, not the Police De-
partment. There will be some changes in the calls from the cottages - these will
all be channeled through the main office.
There has been some question on whose responsibility it is to cover calls from that
facility - Lino Lakes or the County. There will be more discussion on this at a
later date.
Mr. McLean presented the actions of the Planning and Zoning Board meeting held on
October 20, 1976. Mr. Van Kleek has appeared before the Board with a request for
permission to build a home on a lot on Peltier Lake that only has access via a 33'
driveway easement. Mr. Locher had checked the status of this property and had found
a deed of transfer that had been recorded in 1941. There had been several suggest-
ions from the Planning and Zoning Board 1) get the three property owners together
and install a short street with a cul - de - sac; perhaps purchase land from one
of the owners to give him enough frontage; or perhaps get another 33' easement from
the adjoining property and install a street. Mr. Locher suggested putting the cul-
de -sac on his own property, Mr. McLean said there is not enough footage. Mr. Van
Kleek was advised to contact Mr. Gotwald for a possible solution to this problem.
Mr. Baber had presented a map splitting the Huber property on Bald Eagle Blvd.
All parcels of land have the required frontage of 150' and the 22 acres with the
exception of two. Mr. Baber was advised that a variance for the transfer of title
on those two parcels would be necessary. He will return to the November 17, 1976
meeting.
Mr. Chollett had applied for a special use permit to park a mobile home on his pro-
perty while constructing a new home. The Planning and Zoning Board had recommended
approval of this application with the stipulation the mobile home be removed by
the end of July, 1977. The permit is on a 90 day basis and must be renewed at the
end of each 90 days. Mr. McLean so moved. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carr-
ied unanimously.
Mr. Schlavin had appeared with a request for the division of two lots on Linda Street.
The lots are now platted and the dividing line runs east and west. A home is located
on the lot that now borders Linda Street. Mr. Schlavin is asking to split the two
lots with the dividing line running North and South, thus giving both parcels front-
age on Linda Street. Mr. McLean moved to approve the two variances for less than
22 acres. Seconded by Mr. Karth. Motion carried unanimously.
