1
i
April II, 1977
The public hearing must be rescheduled. Mr. Gotwald said he will see the legal des-
cription is sent to the Attorney.
Mr. Gotwald suggested a procedural list be complited to give to all prospective dev-
elopers. Mr. McLean agreed. This list should have all the agencies that must approve
a proposed plat and instruct the developer on his responsibilities in connection with
this plat. The Clerk was instructed to form such an instructional sheet. Mr. Karth
so moved. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Hansen gave the Council the file number 77- 133 -33, with the name, Mr. Blackwell,
in connection with the approval from the Corps of Engineers. He hopes to have a re-
ply from that organization before the hearing.
Mr. McLean moved to set the public hearing for April 25, 1977 at 8:30 P.M. Seconded
by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Bohjanen had received a communications from the Metropolitan Council on a hear-
ing set for Parks and Open Space. This meeting is scheduled for April 21, 1977. More
information may be had by contacting the Metro Council.
Mayor Bohjanen asked the Clerk to put consideration of Mr. Carlo Sooger's request for
funds for the Centennial summer recreation program on the April 25, 1977 agenda.
Mayor Bohjanen reported he had contacted by the Boy Scouts, 4Her's and other organiz-
ations for the use of the City dump trucks in connection with the planned clean up
day to be held on April 23, 1977. Mr. Karth so moved. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Mo-
tion carried unanimiously. Food will be provided by the Civil Defense.
The next item for consideration was the inability of Mr. John Boland to meet with
the Council on the scheduled April 6, 1977 meeting. There was discussion on this
problem with Mr. McLean pointing out this Council cannot meet outside the City limits
to make decisions. The Clerk was instructed to write to Mr. Boland setting aside
April 19, 26, May 3, May 10 and May II as days for a meeting to be held here at the
City Hall.
Mayor Bohjanen said that Mr. Houle, Fire Marshall, had called and reported he is
having some problems getting burning permits. The Clerk was instructed to contact
the PCA for possible instances when the City could issue a burning permit.
Mr. Karth reported three bids had been received for the Patrol car advertised for.
The low bid is for a GMC suburban from Novak, Inc. in the amount of $6,768.77. This
is $768.77 over the budgeted amount but the possible sale or trade of one of the old
cars -could make up the difference. There was discussion as to which car to replace.
The general consensus of the Council was this could be decided at the time of delivery
with the possibility of deleting both old cars.
There was some discussion of hiring a public service officer but not enough infor-
mation was available.
Mr. Karth moved to approve the purchase of the GMC suburban at a cost of $6,768.77
to replace at least one of the old cars with the consideration of deleting both old
cars, delivery at any time, but payment cannot be made until August I, 1977 or later.
Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimiously.
Mr. Schneider suggested holding the deletions Of the cars for consideration by Chief
Myhre.
