The <br />Council agreed this would be fine. <br />1 <br />Mr. LcLean moved that Pine Vista 11 be accepted with the park dedication to be cash in <br />leiu of land, this to be paid on the sale of the lots, road costs to be escrowed or bonds <br />in the amount of IZ times the costs of construction and the word 'proposed' be deleted <br />from the street and drainage easements. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Karth moved to close the hearing at 8:45 P.M. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carr- <br />ied unanimously. <br />Mr. Karth said he had nothing to report on the auction. He has been waiting for some <br />word from the other two communities who had expressed an interest. <br />Mr. Zelinka said someone had asked him if the holes that are being patched are being <br />cleaned first and Mr. Volk said, Yes. <br />Mr. Roy Backlin, from the audience, asked if there is someway to get some drainage along <br />Lakeview. He suggested putting in some dry wells. Mrs. LaRock said all the water along <br />her portion of the same street collects in their back yard and it get so bad in front of <br />their house that cars stall. <br />After some discussion on this matter, Mr. Zelinka moved to authorize Mr. Gotwald and Mr. <br />Volk to check this matter and bring recommendations for Council consideration, this to <br />include all of Lakeview Avenue. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Karth said the offer for the tractor was $500.00 as is. Mr. Zelinka suggested keep- <br />ing the tanker for future use. This should be check for standing water and drained, if <br />necessary, and kept dry to avoid the rusting out of the tank. <br />Mr. McLean asked if it is necessary to advertise in order to sell this and Mr. Locher <br />said, No, but it might be wise. <br />There was discussion on selling of the materials no longer used by the City. Mr. Karth <br />moved to authorize the publication of an ad listing the unused items. Seconded by Mr. <br />McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Locher said the ad should include 'The City reserves to right to reject any and all <br />bids' and 'items are sold as is'. Prospective buyers should call for information as to <br />when the items may be viewed. <br />Mr. Karth noted there is a requisition for Calcium Chloride for use on West Shadow Lake <br />Drive. This will only cover that portion of the street near the existing homes. <br />Mr. Zelinka asked if Mr. Volk could pick up 200 pounds for him while he is there? He said <br />he did not want to put the City in an awkward position. <br />Mr. Locher felt there was no problem. Mr. Karth moved to authorize Mr. Volk to pick up <br />the material for Mr. Zelinka with Mr. Zelinka to pay for the material on delivery. Sec- <br />onded by Mr. McLean.
