247 <br />May 9, 1977 <br />Metropolitan Development Guide Chapter on Airports. There was several topics directed <br />IIIat the North Search Area that will be studied. <br />1 <br />1 <br />..A copy of the permit issued to the Crossways Club for the cleaning of Rondeau Lake had <br />been received. <br />..The Lexington Fire Department's report for the month of April. <br />..A request to move a house in on Birch Street had been received. This home must be in- <br />spected by the Building Inspector, one member from the Planning and Zoning Board and one <br />member of the Council. The Clerk will arrange this. <br />..Reminded the Council of the Board of Review to be held on May 17, 1977 at 7:00 P.M. <br />This has been published and the affadivat had been received. <br />..Read a portion of a letter from the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission setting a <br />meeting for May 10, 1977 at 7:30 P.M. at Bunker Park Activities Building to discuss the <br />site selection process for a chemical waste landfill facility. Someone should attend <br />this meeting. <br />Mr. McLean had no report from the Planning and Zoning, however, he told the Council an <br />answer to the Systems Statement must be done by the latter part of June. Mr. McLean <br />had contacted Mr. Bob Ranta to schedule a meeting for discussion of this document. He <br />will keep the Council informed of any progress. <br />The Clerk was asked if any contact from Mr. Boland hbd been made and she said, No. Mr. <br />Zelinka suggested a follow up letter be sent asking if any action had been taken to set <br />a date for the requested meeting. Mr. McLean so moved. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion <br />carried carried unanimously. The Clerk was instructed tosend copies of the previously <br />written letters. <br />The Clerk is to also write to Mr. Ranta confirming the phone conversation asking for a <br />meeting on 5/18/77 and Mr. Ranta will return the call with the name of someone who will <br />attend in his absence. Mr. Karth so moved. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Schneider arrived at 9:00 P.M. <br />Mayor Bohjanen wondered how the City of Circle Pines could get a burning permit for the <br />burning of the debris that had been collected near the fire station. The Clerk was in- <br />structed to contact MY. Ed Bloomstrand for this information. <br />Susan Spain and Jolly Roberts of the University of Minnesota Land Planning Department <br />were present to present the plan they have designed for the Park property located at the <br />City Hall. The design was explained by the girls and some estimated costs were given. <br />The Council discussed the design and the staged development with the girls. They were <br />thanked very much for their work and commended on the design. <br />The Clerk was instructed to write a letter of commendation to the girls. <br />Mr. Schneider had nothing to report from the Park Board. He has a meeting this Saturday <br />at the MMTC. He will keep the Council informed of the progress at that facility. <br />Mr. Schneider noted the requisition for the mower for the Park Department. This was not <br />in the budget and is planned to be paid for from the dedicated funds. Mr. Volk said this <br />
