June 13, 1977
..Mr. Gotwald submitted a letter on the problems arising out of the sale of
lots located beyond the current sewer service. Mr. Gotwald felt that a
meeting with the owners and the seller should be arranged in order to
clear this matter. Mr. & Mrs. Johnston, who have purchased one of these
lots, was present. They are proposing to sewer their lot by some special
installation of a line to their proposed home. The Council felt their
matter will have to be discussed with all property owners on that section
of the street. Mrs. Johnston said she would contact the-other interested
persons and then get in touch with Mr. Gotwald.
.. Mr. Zelinka made note of the fact that funds are availablefor the removal
of diseased trees. He moved that a letter of appreciation be sent to Sen.
Milton and Rep. Neison and to inquire as to how, when and where the City
may apply for these funds. This material should be ready for Council
inspection at the June 27, 1977 meeting.
Mr. Karth reported there is a requisition for rad signs and most of them
are for 'narrow bridge' approaches. This is required by the State.
Mr.Zelinka said there are some street signs in the Lakeview area that need
to be repainted. There is 184 acres
total in the three plats - NSP owns 38 lots containing approximately 15
acres. This will be considered as a different park dedication. For the
Country Lakes area, they were looking at 18.4 acres or equivalent value in
shoreland property. The area considered was in the Southwest corner of the
plats along the creek. This will be discussed with the Engineer and Mr.
Gredvig, who was present, will report to the Park Board on this matter.
Mr. McLean said another meeting will be scheduled for some time in the early
part of July.
The possibility of getting some street frontage fore the duplex on the East
side of the lake was also considered. Mr. Kronholm will check with his
people and this will be discussed further. A letter of credit, or some
such arrangement such as a private devleoper would make, could be considered.
Mr. Locher was asked for his recommendations on this matter for the June
27, 1977 meeting.
Mr. McLean noted that West Shadow Lake Drive is a private street owned by
Drovers State Bank and is being used as a public roadway.
