Motion failed. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to adjourn the hearing for Mr. Menkveld at 10 :04 p.m. Seconded <br />by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. <br />It was decided that the tentative mobile home park meeting scheduled for October 13 <br />would be held at some time later than October 16 at Mr. Walters' convenience; he <br />will contact the Clerk. <br />The next regular Council meeting falls on Columbus Day, October 12. Mr. Bohjanen <br />moved to schedule the next meeting for Tuesday, October 13. Seconded by W. <br />Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />The Clerk presented a sign application by St. Paul Statuary to build a sign for <br />St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Since it appeared to be oversized as allowed by <br />Ord. 51, it was given to Mr. Locher for checking with the ordinance. <br />Affidavits of publication had been received for the notice of acceptance of affi- <br />davits of candidacy. A letter from Mrs. Ruth Freeman, formerly Mrs. Ruth Cegla, <br />was read requesting that the off sale liquor license be changed to the new name; <br />also, the new business name for Eddie's Liquor Store is to be Ruth's Bottle Shop. <br />The Clerk inquired whether new bonds for the off sale license would need to be <br />issued. Mr. Locher stated that it was no problem, that the bonds could be corrected, <br />or amended and the licenses too. Mr. Bohjanen moved to allow the change in name <br />on the licenses for Mrs. Freeman, and that the bonds be corrected. Seconded by <br />Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Cardinal reported that Planning & Zoning had recommended approval of three of <br />the five sign permits requested by Mr. Lee C. Smith. Application #32 was the same <br />as permit #28 and was s triken. Application #33 was rejected since there was in- <br />sufficient room between #28 and #26. W. Cardinal moved to deny application #33 <br />due to insufficient room. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to accept applications #31, 34 and 35 by Lee C. Smith for signs <br />with the stipulation that detailed plans of the signs be submitted for the file. <br />Seconded by fir. Rosengren. Carried unanimously. The Clerk will notify Mr. Smith. <br />Mr. Cardinal stated that Planning & Zoning had discussed getting out of the Forest <br />Lake Hospital District. W. Locher stated that there is a problem in that the <br />land is pledged for the existing bonds, and we are still obligated until the bonds <br />are paid off. Perhaps a different method of funding the bonds could be found. <br />Mr. Cardinal asked the Clerk whether copies of Ordinance #51 are given to sign <br />applicants and was told yes. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
