2 <br />Mr. Rosengren mentioned that he had previously received one specification from <br />Ludwig on a well with a submerged tank and that he had received a subsequent <br />specification from him on a well with an above - ground tank. There was a difference <br />of about $25.00 in the two bids with the lower one being for the above- ground tank. <br />lr. Gotwald noted that he had been previously authorized to write specs for the <br />well; they were waiting for State approval to advertize for bids. <br />Mr. Rosengren reminded the Clerk of the letter to be written to Ramsey County on <br />the speed limit on County Rd. J. Mr. Rosengren mentioned that a letter had been <br />received from the County Highway Dept. asking for written notice on which roads <br />we would like them to perform snowplowing services. Mr. Rosengren moved that a <br />letter be sent to the County Highway Dept. asking them to do snowplowing on 64th <br />Street both east and west of 135E as well as Otter Lake Road (Hansen's Road). <br />Seconded by }tr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. <br />After some discussion on things concerning the new building which must be decided, <br />it was agreed that a Building'Committee meeting should be held; Mr. Rosengren <br />will let the Clerk know what date is set. It was decided that, if possible, we <br />should try to stay within the )Linneapolis phone system rather than go to Forest Lake. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved-to authorize the installation of a 5 line cable into the new <br />building. However, if the NW Bell engineer makes a different recommendation, NW' <br />Bell should come back for approval before proceeding with installation. Seconded <br />by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Backlin suggested that an additional electric line be run to the northwest <br />corner of the new building for service to the gas pump and tank; it would be <br />cheaper to have this done while the electrician is doing the work rather than after <br />the building is finished. This will be taken up at the Building Committee meet -' <br />ing. The Clerk stated that the order for gas service had been signed.' <br />Mr. Gotwald suggested that the Road Department be authorized to proceed to blade <br />the parking lot area before freeze -up, following the removal of construction <br />equipment, in order to drain the land for spring work. atr. Cardinal moved to <br />authorize the Road Dept. to proceed with blading work on the east side of the <br />new building as above. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Jaworski inquired what condition 74th Avenue was in; Mr. Backlin stated that <br />after the rains, none of the gravel roads were any good; 74th had been bladed <br />prior to the rain. Mr. Jaworski mentioned that he had received complaints about <br />the entry road onto 64th from the west service road of 135E. It was noted that <br />the County Engineer, Mr. Lundheim, had been notified of the condition of this road <br />but nothing had been done. Mr. Jaworski moved to send a letter to the Anoka County <br />Highway Dept. to repair this piece of road, also to authorize the Engineer to <br />contact the County Highway Dept. regarding same. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried <br />unanimously. <br />1 <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that he had received correspondence on the "no burning ordinance" <br />required by the Pollution Control Agency. The Clerk will make copies of this for <br />the Council as well as obtain copies of the "no burning ;ordinances" adopted by <br />Blaine, Columbia Heights, and Coon Rapids. <br />Mr. Charles Cape, Civil Defense Director, reported on the emergency plan which had <br />been drafted for Lino Lakes and which had been submitted as a portion of work for <br />his certification. A copy of the plan was left for the file. Mr. Cape read the <br />headings, mentioning that a change in the area for this district would be effected <br />shortly. )&r. Cape stressed the point that in case of an emergency or natural disaster, <br />records of monies spent towards this must be kept if reimbursement from Federal funds <br />is expected. <br />
