Z 58 <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to confirm the above appointments as set forth by the Mayor. <br />}Seconded by F'r. Bohjanen. ' arried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that he had bypassed the appointment for legal newspaper; <br />he had received the bid from the Forest Take Times at home and had forgotten it; <br />*'r. Backlin had been sent to pick it up. Crystal Ahlman stated that she objected <br />to the Forest Take Times as our newspaper since there was nothing in it about <br />our meetings. <br />Mr. T'Allier appointed the following persons to the Park Board: <br />Arthur Hawkins 3 year term <br />Mrs. Dole Tresler 1 year term <br />Josenh Davis 1 year term <br />Harold Lehman 3 year term <br />"rs. Ruth Rector 2 year term <br />*'r. Jaworski moved to accent these appointments to the Park Roard, Qeconded by <br />"r, Rosengren. Carried unanimously. W. Jaworski felt it would be appropriate <br />to send letters of thanks to the previous members who are not now serving. <br />On <br />W. L'Allier's recommendation, Mr. Bohjanen moved to retain our present park <br />supervisors, namely, Lena Billik at Sunrise Park and Chancy LeVesseur at Lino Park. <br />Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that he wished to rename John McLean, who has been extremely <br />enthusiastic and has moved things along, to another 3 year term. He also stated <br />that he wished to rename Arnold Kelling, past mayor, who is an energetic member <br />and who adds a lot to the functioning of the Board-, to another 3 year term. He <br />named Edward Karth endJ eme8IJJ Hill to e 2 year term; E. P. Jester, Glenn Rehbein <br />and James Husnik to a l year term. Mr. Cardinal moved to accept these persons as <br />members of the flanning and Boning Board. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor L'Allier stated that in the past we have had a road study Board; however, <br />it is questionable at this time, until 9 time as specific duties are set <br />forth, whether we should consider abandoning this Board. He stated that in 1969 <br />the Engineers had set forth a plan to surface all gravel roads, this work to be <br />completed in 1974. Mr. JeWorski moved that on the Mayor's suggestion we forego <br />the Road Study Board for the time being; that it could be reconvened if needed. <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier listed the Council members' responsibilities as follows: <br />Mr. L'Allier -- Mayor, Liaison to the Anoka County Ass'n of municipalities <br />and to its Legislative Committee; in charge of the Civil <br />Defense and the Police Department, <br />Mr, Rosengren- -Head of the Road Department, Liaison to the Roads and Parks <br />Supervisor until a°..£ulltime man is appointed. <br />Mr. L'Allier noted that the Road Study Board and the Municipal Building Committee <br />to which Mr. Rosengren was Liaison last year, held many meetings; thses are now <br />inactive, however. <br />Mr. Cardinal -- Liaison to the Planning & Zoning Board, alternate Liaison to <br />the Anoka County Assn of Municipalities; Liaison to the <br />Personnel Commission which was just reactivated. <br />Mr. Jaworski-- Liaison to the Park Board. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
