260
The Clerk reported that after conferring with the Attorney and the Mayor, she had
decided to purchase the A. B. Dick copy machine Model 675. The price was $1272.35
compared with $1250 from Sevin; however, the maintenance contracts are $96 per
year from A. B. Dick compared with $120 per year from Sevin. The paper and
supplied were very close in price. Also, A. B. Dick had taken the old wet photo-
copier intrade for $65 worth of paper and supplies.
Mr. Bohjanen moved to confirm the previous discussion on the purehasecofihe
A. B. Dick photocopy machine based on the recommendation of the Attorney and
the Mayor. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously.
The Clerk also reported that the,new Tab lateral filing system had been installed
this morning so that it could be viewed by the public. W. Cardinal stated that
he had no report; the next P&Z meeting would be Jab. 20th. W. Jaworski had no
report.
Mr. Rosengren reported that the new truck had not yet come, but should definitely
be here next week. He stated that we had received a letter from the County
stating that we would be receiving a piece of old County Road #54 south Hwy #14
to the cutoff. He didn't feel that we should take all of the road, that some of
it should go to Washington County as we already have a good piece of it. Mr.
Gotwald recommended that Mr. Locher be allowed to contact the Anoka County Com-
missioners or at least the County Engineer to get the status of the responsibility
on the East County Line.
Mr. L'Allier noted that Anoka County had gone on record last year agreeing to
assume responsibility of the East County Line with Washington County. Washington
County replied stating that they were waiting for completion of 135E. He has
contacted the Washington County people trying to get some further action. Mr.
L'Allier felt it was worth while having Mr. Locher contact the County officials.
Mr. Jaworski thought that the County should bring the road up to specs before
turning it over. Mr. Gotwald stated that it had been reconstructed last year
and regraded; also drainage work and gravelling had been done. He stated that
it amounted to 1/2 mile of old road which has little traffic; he didn't know how
the conditon was now. Mr. Jaworski felt we should look at it in.the spring.
Mr. Gottwald stated that this was fine since the turnover was scheduled for May
15th. Mr. Gottwald and Mr. Rosengren were instructed to check the road.
Mr. Gotwald felt that it might be possible to get the County to swap part of
Bald Eagle Blvd. for this piece of #54. Al Ross noted that Commissioners Fields
and Burman were on the County Road Committee. Denny Houle wished to have the
Engineer take a look at the bridge on #54 also. W. Gotwald stated that regarding
the bridge on 80th which he was authorized to inspect, he would like to contact
Mr. Lundheim's office and have someone from there inspect it with him to see
exactly what is wrong; they could look at the bridge on #54 at the same time.
Mr. Cardinal moved to authorize Mr. Locher to contact the County regarding the
turnover of County Road #54, the inspection of the bridge on #54 and the possible
swapping of pieces of road. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried unanimously.
Roy Baeklin stated that Mr. Lundheim had once mentioned that, 1. mile of the County
Line going South was taked over.fram Oneka and had suggested that it be taken over
for a service road this fall. W. Gotwald will check.
