1 1 9. Fi_RcA0 Dimwifziei -,- Support legislation that would correct the fiscal disparities that exist in the seven county metropolitian area. There are several bills being prepared at this time, all of which will be reviewed by our Anoka County-Association of Minicipalities Legislative Committee. I will suggest a recommended bill at the time'the legislative committee has completed their review. 10. Me•ropolit an Airports Commission - Support a change in the present structure of the Metropolitan Airports Commission which would provide for representation from the county in which a metropolitan airport is or is to be located. 11. Udggesoti Reception and Diagnostic Center - Lino Lakes,- Within the next 30 days I shall make specific recommendations as to recommended changes in the state laws that will directly affect the Reception Center. The general areas will involve: a maximum security facility, limitations of the number of people housed at the Center, security fencing and perimeter lighting, security control, and employees salaries. 12. Zoning District Code - Adopt the "Proposed Zoning District Code" recently presented to us by our planner. Coiplete the first segment of our comprehensive plan by November'1. 1971. 13. Adopt a short and long -range ,park program by October 1, 1971. 14. Industrial and Residential Development - Encourage and work with residential and industrial developers so as to build a favorable tax base for the village of Lino Lakes. Mr. Gotwald stated that, in conversation with the Metro Sewer Board, he found that they want a letter stating that we have received a comprehensive sewer plan and have adopted same. He thought that there were past resolutions adopting each segment of the sewer plan, but that it would be simpler to pass a new resolution adopting all the past reports. He stated that the plan is current and revised, there has been no change in the basic design. Mr. Locher stated that we could reconfirm the plan since it is basically the original overall plan. Mr. Gotwald stated that the Metro Sewer Board wanted to lay out the sewer plans of the entire area so they could make priorities; they also want to be sure we won't change the plans we have now. Mr. L'Allier asked if the interceptor line to Centerville would belong to'the Metro Council and was told yes., Mr. Bohjanen asked of our plans were geared to the Metro Council plans and was told yes. Mr, Gotwald discussed the process of turning the plans over to the Metro Council. They would like to have a resolu- tion that we will follow our plans. He mentioned that his firm's recommendations had followed a 20 -year old Metro plan. It is hard to get additional aids of we have no comprehensive sewer plan. Mr. Rosengren moved to adopt a resolution certifying acceptance of all previous sewer plans presented by Milner W. Carley and Associates and stating tha Lino Lakes intends to follow those plans. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. The roll was called giving unanimous consent.
