90 <br />Mr. William Busch, Attorney, representing Anoka Land and Cattle Company <br />showed a drawing of the proposed land use immediately surrounding Reshanau <br />Lake. This included a golf course, country club, marina, townhouses and <br />single family dwellings as well as commercial development. Mr. Busch <br />stated that the plat containing the model homes for which they desire <br />building permits would be known as Lakes Additon No. one; also the name <br />Anoka Land and Cattle company was in the process of being changed to U. S. <br />Lakes Development Organization. They wished building permits for model <br />homes on lots #18 to #22 inclusive and five townhouse units on outlot <br />these buildings hopefully ready by the spring of 1969. The estimated value <br />of the housing units was $22,000, exclusive of land; the same value set on <br />each townhouse unit. The estimated selling price was set from $40-45,000. <br />He stated that these models would not be occupied until other homes are <br />under construction and being sold. He then asked that Lino Lakes waive the <br />prerequisites so that construction of the basements could get underway. <br />Mr. kUier stated that everyone else goes according to the prerequisites, <br />and set forth the procedure to Mr. Busch. He mentioned the ordinance re- <br />quiring land to abut a Village Road. Mr. Busch stated that the present <br />Seventh Avenue would be used to a certain point then vary to become a private <br />road into the model homes. Mr. William Jenson, engineer for Mr. Jandric, <br />stepped forward to discuss points on the plat map. Mr. Bohjanen inquired <br />about utilities and sewage disposal. Mr. Busch felt that there was no rush <br />on sewage since the model homes would not be occupied and this could be added <br />later. <br />It was decided that the Council and PO would discuss this on October 29 <br />with Mi.. Jandric. There was much discussion after .which Mr. Rosengren <br />moved that we wait until October 29 to go over the maps with the Ha and <br />have a special meeting later. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. Mr. <br />Jandric agreed that a performance bond would be in order when the roads <br />are constructed. <br />Mr. Cardinal presented Mr. Gerald Mategko who wished to obtain a variance for <br />a lot on Main Street immediately east of Highway 8. After discussion, Mr. <br />Cardinal moved to grant a variance to Mr. Gerald Mategko upon the recom- <br />mendation of the Planning Commission upon the following property: <br />The South 292 feet of the West 152 feet of Lot 4, Part of Lot 19, <br />Auditor's Subdivision Nc. 138, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved that we pay the fee of $187.00 to join the League of Minnesota <br />Municipalities for another year. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to authorize the Chief Election judge to appoint someone <br />as a peace officer during the general election as provided by law, with <br />wages for same to be $1.65 per hour if the person did not volunteer his <br />services. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />The Clerk reported that there had been no filing for the Memorial Hospital <br />Board vacancy. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved that the letter from Lindberg Construction requesting re- <br />lease of the bond on the L'Allier property be turned over to the Engineer <br />for his recommendation.
