99 <br />Mr. E. P. Jester requested a variance on a lot on Ash Street less than 2 1/2 acres <br />in size. Mr. Jaworski moved to grant a variance to Mr. E. P. Jester and Mr. Floyd <br />P. Jester upon the lot having the following legal description: <br />All that part of the West 100 feet of Government Lot 4, Section 35, Town 31, <br />Range 22, West, lying South of the St. Paul Waterworks Department right of <br />way, i,nd North of Ash Street, subject to said right -of -way and said Ash St. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier announced that Blaine's Mobile Home Ordinance would be taken up at the <br />December 23 meeting. <br />Several complaints of rats on the Leo Bruder property had been received. The officers <br />will check on the property. A date is being set for burning the house at Elm and High- <br />way 8 as well as the barn on the Tilsen property. A letter should be sent to the peo- <br />ple with junk on Baldwin Lake Road. <br />Persons present complained about Mrs. Rose LeTourneau hauling in and junking cars on <br />her property and then dumping them over the hill. The officers will check. <br />Mr. Rosengren mentioned that in the past he had made up lists of the junkyards in the <br />Village and presented them to the Council to no avail. Mr. L'Allier instructed the <br />Council members to prepare lists of junky property to be turned over to the proper <br />authorities at the next meeting. <br />Mr. L'Allier mentioned that he had talked with Mrs. Howard who will blacktop the <br />streets in the Baldwin Lake Trailer Park next spring. She has new units coming in. <br />Mr. Jaworski stated that the Park Board had recommended that a hockey rink be con - <br />structed at Sunrise Park at the suggestion of Centennial School's hockey coach in or- <br />der to organize a hocky league. There was much discussion of cost and future expansion; <br />pleasure skaters would have access to the rink when not being used for hockey at scheduled <br />times; this would definitely be for the use of children in the school district as well <br />as in Lino Lakes. Mr. Jaworski then moved that we spend approximately $900 to build a <br />hockey rink at Sunrise Park utilizing volunteer labor. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Myhre mentioned that a new roadway was being created at the north end of Sunrise <br />Park. It was decided that Mr. Rosengren have the road crew barricade this with some <br />posts and eventually fence in the entire park. <br />Mr. L'Allier mentioned that he had discussed with an official of the St. Paul Waters <br />works Department the possible purchase of their property abutting Baldwin Lake (with) <br />the exception of the roadway and threee acres." at a price of $470 per acre, for a park <br />area,. This representative of the Department expressed willingness to lease the pro- <br />perty in the case that the Council might object to the price. The matter was turned <br />over to the Park Board and a copy of a November 19 letter from Anoka County given to <br />Mr. Jaworski. <br />An answer to charges from Mr. Claggett of Aqua Floats was read as well as the fund <br />balances. The Clerk mentioned that Mr. Ernie Ludwig had sold the village hall and <br />property to El Rehbein and Son, Inc. effective January first. The recount of the <br />Plaisance -Brown election was mentioned. <br />Mr. Bohjanen mentioned that the deskes in question if sold would cost about $100. He <br />then presented the following resolution: <br />
