Mr. Cecil LaMotte was present and asked the Council about the location of a <br />park in his development. He would give 1 1/2 acres for park area (to be <br />deeded to the Village) out of the 17 acres. He also inquired about a time <br />limit on building the roadway since quite a bit of fill will be needed. He <br />was told about the necessity of a road bond in the amount of 1 1/2 times the <br />cost of the road. He will proceed with the preliminary plat and bring it be- <br />fore the Council. <br />Mr. Henry Miers requested a variance on two acres on County Road 54. After <br />discussion, Mr. Cardinal moved to grant a variance to Mr. Henry Miers on the <br />following described property: <br />That portion of the northerly 208.71 feet of the easterly 417.42 feet <br />of the NE 1/4 of Section 26, Township 31, Range 22, Anoka County, Min- <br />nesota. Subject to County Road 54. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried unanimously. <br />After discussion, and on the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Com- <br />mission, Mr. Cardinal moved that Lino Lakes adopt the Minnesota Plumbing Code <br />by reference, with the stipulate n that cast iron pipes must be stubbed under <br />the houses to the location of probable central water hookup. Also, fees will be <br />set; plumbers must be bonded; the Code is adopted as it may be amended. Seconded <br />by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />The Clerk was instructed to call the League for forms of plumbing licenses and <br />booklet on fees. Mr. Bohjanen mentioned that a Mr. Harley Swedel, on Sunset <br />Avenue was interested in being the plumbing inspector. Mr. Bohjanen was in- <br />structed to invite him to the meeting on April 14th. <br />The P&Z had recommended adopting the Ordinance and Code Regulating Individual <br />Sewage disposal Systems from the Minnesota Board of Health. The Clerk was in- <br />structed to secure copies for the Council. Mr. Jaworski moved to table the mat- <br />ter until it could be studied. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated that he preferred hiring a plumbing inspector from out of <br />town in order to eliminate any personal interest. It was decided to hire some- <br />one for the position at the next meeting. <br />The Clerk was instructed to send a letter to Keith Apitz asking him if he is <br />considering rezoning of his property, and inviting him to the P&Z meeting on <br />April 16th. <br />Mr. Jaworski stated that the Church of St. Joseph had requested a bingo permit <br />for the rest of 1969. Mr. Jaworski then moved to grant such a permit. Seconded <br />by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski then stated that he felt it was time to purchase a typewriter for <br />the Clerk's office. On the Clerk's recommendation, Mr. Jaworski moved that Lino <br />Lakes purchase an IBM Selectric typewriter with a 13" carriage for the approxi- <br />mate cost of $450.00, this to include a 12 months labor maintenance agreement. <br />Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported that they were still receiving answers and information <br />on the brochure. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported that he had talked with a representative of the Oneka <br />Town Board who requested that Lino Lakes take over the roadwork on the East <br />
