Mr. John Juleen had suggested that an ordinance requiring fire extinguishers for <br />commercial enterprises be adopted. Mr. Locher will obtain sample ordinances. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated that they were waiting to do Ware Road until just the right <br />hot weather. Mr. Schifsky had thought the cost would be under $2000.00 if we haul <br />the gravel. The work had not been done on Bald Eagle Blvd. yet since a big back <br />hoe is needed to dig out the holes. <br />A petition for work to be done on County Ditch No. 55 called for a hearing on <br />Julyy22 at 11 a.m. at the Anoka County Courthouse. Mr. Rosengren mentioned that <br />the work <.would be done because of a storm sewer to be built on the east side of <br />35E towards Centerville. He will check on this. <br />The bids for seal - coating will be opened on July 28th at 1:30 p.m. by the Clerk <br />and Engineer. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved that henceforth copies of all minutes and agendas be sent <br />to P &Z members. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />After discussion, Mr. Jaworski moved that the Clerk direct to the Attorney a copy <br />of the recommended.changes in the mobile home ordinance so that he can draw up <br />the draft for a revised ordinance for approval at the July 28 meeting. Seconded <br />by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier mentioned that the old 1100 gallon tanker truck owned by the Center - <br />ville Fire Department was for sale, and that he had offered (after discussion with <br />other Council members) on our behalf, $200.00 for it to three members of the <br />Centerville Council. Mr. Cardinal moved to ratify the offer of $200.00 for the tanker <br />to Centerville; said tanker to be used by the Roads Department for dust control. <br />Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. It was mentioned that Centerville wanted the <br />siren and brass off it. <br />Mr. L'Allier mentioned that Centerville had voted to allow us the second -half 1969 <br />fire contract for the $700.00 figure. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved that the Engineer be authorized to lay out the 1961 water system <br />study for Lino Lakes on a superimposed Village map, with copies, using various <br />colors for the different -sized pipes; this estimated to cost $30 to $35 for the work <br />and to take 30 -45 days. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />The thoroughfare map is nearly ready for the P &Z to review, possibly on the 16th <br />or next month. <br />After some discussion (again) on the financing of central water systems, Mr. <br />Jaworski moved that a letter be sent to U. S. Lakes Development Company, asking <br />them to substantiate their claim that they are unable to obtain financing for a <br />central water system by bringing representatives of their finance sources before <br />the Council. Carbon copies will be sent to the Attorney, Engineer and the fiscal <br />agent. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. More discussion followed. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved that a letter be sent to Mr. 0. R. Springsted, fiscal agent, <br />requesting that he review the sewer and water franchises proposed by U. S. Lakes <br />Development Company and that he give his opinion on methods of depreciation if we <br />purchase such system, on other available funds that the developer could use for <br />financing of a water system, the overall money market, short term and long term <br />differential, and municipal financing. Carbon copies to be sent to Atty and Eng. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. The meeting was set tentatively for July 25; <br />the Clerk will confirm. <br />
