Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Bohjanen then moved that a special use permit be granted Mr. George Smith to <br />construct, maintain and operate, according to law, a riding stable and all necessary <br />structures and improvements incident thereto on the lands situate in the Village of <br />Lino Lakes described above, with the following stipulations: the fences must be <br />maintained, the horses kept on his property, the use of vending machines for drinks <br />(not beer or intoxicating liquor) is permitted. Mr. Smith was warned that any <br />abuse of this permit, namely any of his horses, ridden or otherwise, being out <br />of the fences, could result in the withdrawal of his special use permit. Seconded <br />by Asir. Cardinal. Carried. The hearing closed at 9:17 p.m. <br />Mr. Cardinal reported that Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hughes had asked the P&Z for a <br />variance to set up a barber and beauty shop on a small parcel, less than 2 acres <br />in area, of their land on Hwy. 8. Mr. Cardinal moved that the Council grant <br />Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hughes a variance to sub- divide their property in order to set <br />up a shop as requested on a parcel of land (in commercial area) to be subdivided <br />out of the NW corner of S 1/2 of NW 1/4 of Section 9, T.31, R -22, Anoka County. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. The correct legal description from survey must <br />be submitted before the building permit is issued. <br />Mr. Ken Rehbein had also requested the P&Z for permission to get a building permit <br />for a second pre -fab house to be set on a basement. Mr. Dupre and the Council dis- <br />cussed the differences in the construction of the :lumber to be used as our ordi- <br />nance requires 2 by 8's with 40# live wt., and the pre -fab comes with plywood <br />laminated with 2 by 4's with 40# live wt. Mr. Bohjanen moved that the building <br />inspector be authorized to give Mr. Rehbein a permit to construct a pre -fab house <br />on a basement in Twilight Acres. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal.
