244
The Clerk inquired whether the list of corrections to previous minutes now included
in the minutes sent to the Councilmen needed to be typed in the master book per se
since the minutes are always corrected before being typed into the book. After
discussion, it was decided that the list of corrections did not need to be put into
the master minutes book as long as the minutes were typed in as corrected.
The discussion on election judges resumed. The. Clerk's name had been suggested
as an election judge; however, the Council felt that she should be present any-
way to oversee things. The Mayor suggested that the top 4 names from each list
be chosen. Mr. Bohjanen moved that the following persons be appointed election
judges for the November fourth election: Mesdames Agnes LaMotte, Phyliss Blaylock,
Joyce Dufresne, Madlyn Crandall, Kay Olson, Jean Krube, Agnes LeTendre, Imogene
Secretan; alternate judges: Mrs. Ruth Rector and Mrs. Signe Miller. Mr. Rosengren
remarked that some persons with previous experience are desireable on an election
board. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried unanimously.
The hearing on the final plat for LaMotte's Second Addition was called to order at
8:30 p.m. It was shown that all necessary publications, etc. were taken care of.
Mr. LiKotte noted that these were corrected maps and that, since part of the land
lies in Centerville, he had a hearing before Centerville on September 30th. Mr.
Locher stated that the deed to the outlot would be dated upon the completion of the
filing of the plat. The deed for the turnaround was left with the Clerk. Mr. Locher
stated that he had talked with the County Surveyor and that all corrections had been
taken care of;all was in order. Mr. Locher also noted that the turnaround was only
temporary until the whole plat would be finished. Mr. LaMotte stated that he planned
six more lots by the lake and the playground --all abutting the blacktop street. He
has three persons waiting for lots now.
Mr. L'Allier mentioned that the land for the park had been dedicated specifically
for that purpose, that it was more than ample in area. Mr. Locher noted that one
more correction should be made on the plat: on the signatures, Clerk should be
changed to Clerk- Treasurer.
Mr. Bohjanen moved that Lino Lakes accept the final plat of LaMotte's Second Addition
and thatthe Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the hardshells after the correction
is made. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried unanimously. It was noted that
the Clerk should get the deed for the outlot for approval by the Council.
Mr. Cardinal moved that the easement for the turnaround in LaMotte's Second Addition
be accepted. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. Mr. Locher noted that
the deed for same couldn't be dated until the completion of filing; this would be
accepted at the next meeting.
Mr. Gotwald mentioned that sometimes people wait for quite a while after getting the
signatures to file the plat with the County. This should be done immediately so that
building permits can be issued. Mr. LaMotte was asked to get a sepia tracing of
the signed plat for the Village so that reproductions could be made. The hearing
closed at 8:45 p.m.
Mr. Cardinal asked about the trailer house parked on Lakeview Avenue. Mr. Jaworski
reported that he had checked into it and found that the woman had had trouble with
her husband. He had advised her that no one could live in a mobile home without a
permit. The trailer is not hooked up to sewer, water or electricity. The trailer
is sitting on one lot and is placed very close to the road. Mr. Jaworski moved that
a letter be sent to the trailer owner advising her of the provisions of Ord. 39, and
